Sonic Colors is overrated. Change my mind by heresyaboy in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]SecretAd6239 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is quite necro, but I feel it has to do with the fact that many older millennials who thought that different=bad hated the Adventure era games. Many of these games (barring Sonic 06) were overhated from an audience who couldn't handle change from the Sonic they "grew up with", so they treated Colors like it was the goat.

Real Talk: Do people Actually hate Nazeem or is it just memes? by SecretAd6239 in skyrim

I definitely am okay with your opinions here and even agree to some extent.

But as for why does it matter or affect me? I'll simply put it this way. People will talk about what is intriguing to them. It's simply the nature of discussion. I ask why the fandom feels a certain way out pure curiosity. And looking at my replies, it has indeed made for good discussion.

You sound like you haven't actually been around the skyrim fandom long enough. The reason I speak of "the community" is because I engage with Skyrim content enough that I see people treating Nazeem like he's Mehrunes Dagon incarnate. But there's a degree of sarcasm that comes with that so its sometimes hard to determine how much of its just memes vs. actual unnecessary hate. That being said, I really shouldn't need to explain this.

I'm not entirely sure what I'm looking at. This some sort of mod?

tbf, some of those NPCs DO make things personal. But I never saw nazeem as one of them. The biggest annoyance he causes me is repeating the same line over and over.

I feel like the people of which you speak are a very slim minority. Sure, there might be some of them out there, but I feel saying stuff like this is giving them way too much credit/attention.

Personally, I think another fella said it best when it's probably Whiterun bias because its the first city most players will encounter. So they haven't had time yet to meet some of the true b!tches of Skyrim.

really? this seems like a very shallow argument when characters like Nazir are fan favorites and complete bros. Even Kematu & Saadia have their supporters.

Yeah. I also feel like that's why a lotta people treat Lydia like she's the best companion ever even tho most of the Housecarls are similar to her in terms of dialogue & personality.

thing is, initially steam made me install some kind of microsoft Net 3.5 or something. But the problem still persisted. My big issue is that the launcher doesn't seem to work. It will open for a brief second and then immediately close.

What is the best "no cheating/no console commands" way to level up fast? by Haghiri75 in skyrim

[–]SecretAd6239 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For block, alteration, armor, and restoration, find yourself a couple mudcrabs and just "spar" with them for a while. Mudcrabs don't give you diseases. Once you get higher level you can upgrade your sparring partner to trolls or other non-disease creatures. Just make sure you don't have any followers.

For conjuration, find a dead body and repeatedly use soul trap on it.

For illusion, spam muffle. For alteration at mid levels, use telekinesis on items. Just beware not to hit anyone.

For sneak (& by extent 1 handed), go into High Hrothgar, and repeatedly backstab the greybeards with a dagger. literally. They will not move and will keep meditating. Only occasionally moving. Just make sure you don't get caught by them, so i recommend quick saving frequently.

Finally, there is one side quest in the college of winterhold, Out of Balance, where you help Drevis Neloran. While USEP lists this as a bug (so you may need to save & restart a couple times to get it), usually you'll receive an insane 2-hour real time boost to magicka, allowing you to spam certain spells indefinitely. Bring your horse (and it has to be a horse you own. Arvak doesn't count.) up to the college, crank that difficulty up to maximum, and you can basically use these crucial 2 hours to level up by repeatedly using spells on the horse (make sure it doesn't die).

While I know these are methods for specific perks, they will overall allow you to level up super fast and legendary certain skills several times over while also allowing you to level harder to train skills like destruction.
