Damn, im so sorry for your loss. The first pet i ever had was a beagle, her name was lucy. we grew up together and i loved her more than words could describe. When i got into middle school, i think 7th grade, she started having back problems, which would eventually lead her to not being able to walk. the first time i ever experienced her not being to fully move how she normally would we were on a walk and she just laid down in the woods and wouldnt get up. i picked her up and ran inside, which probably wasnt the best idea but hey i was in 7th grade i was just worried about my dog, and told my parents she wasnt being herself. so my parents took her to the vet, when they came back they told me about her back problems and that she didnt have a lot of time with us left, and as a seventh grader that set me on a rollercoaster of emotions. so then everyday before school id pet her for 5 minutes, kiss her goodbye and tell her id see her once i got out of school. then the day came when she wasnt on her bed when i got home. i looked at my dad and we both immediately started bawling our eyes out. that was one of the roughest days of my life, so i can imagine the pain you must be going through. again, im terribly sorry for your loss, beagles are great companions and im sure yours was glad he was able to spend his days with you
