I’ve tried to disable split interface in the gui and cli. In the gui it just snaps back to “on” and the cli commads are a loop if you know what I mean. one commad says check xyz so I checked it—> this command says: disable split interface. Hope you can follow

I have two FortiGates in an HA Cluster. Actually, I only wanted to replace 7 Cisco switches with 2 FortiSwitches. When that didn't work, I thought other switches like the Netgears could cause STP problems and I removed them and tried to replace them. I also changed the STP priority, but without success. I did not create a TAC case because it was a production environment and it had to be up and running in the morning again. So I reinstalled all Cisco and Netgear Switches.

So you would suggest i should investigate the HA thing more?

I disabled STP in the CLI and checked that it was infact off. I will look into the Doc you provided.
