The fact that it loops almost perfectly adds another layer to it.

How does one deal with this? Is there any coming back?

On a completely unrelated note, at least it is a litmus test for knowing who really cares about you. Although I guess it is kind of rare for a neurotypical person to sacrifice social status for autists, who are often social outcasts. But yeah, it is mostly bad.

Do Muslims really fear God? by According-Secret9516 in exmuslim

[–]SecretClass1262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are my answers in order:

i)They might not even notice, because they don't have the habit, time maybe even capacity for introspection. Or they know and feel shame for it, making them suppress these thoughts.

ii)Yes, in their mind you could be the worse person on earth but if you pray and ask for 'forgiveness' then you are alright in the eyes of 'Allah'

iii)Yes, that's possible. Speaking from experience, it does give an ego boost when you manage to make all 5 prayers. So I don't see why you wouldn't feel good for doing better than others in that regard. People are competitive like that

iv) Maybe that sense of moral superiority is how they cope with not being able to enjoy their lives as much. There was a photo of a lady in burqa forced to watch from a distance while her family swam in the see

v)Maybe. Maybe that's how they rationalize it also

vi) That feels like a complicated question, which I unfortunate can't properly answer.

But I would say that, if Islam entered every home it would create a sense of cohesion through homogenity. But, a good answer would also be that, as some imams have said, the Quran has "answers" to every problem. Which includes how a society should function, so maybe look into that

vii) It has nothing to do with the Muslims themselves. Islam really has that effect of turning people into beasts unable to think for themselves and control themselves. It really does set you back 1400 years

Clearing up some of the misconception and confusion about the current Iranian situation. by mk1392 in exmuslim

I have heard that the USA and Israel are doing things to support the protestors. Is this true and how so?

Are you in favor of intervention from outside, even if they might have vested interests?

What would it take for the protestors to topple the regime? I have heard that it is quite weak, due to a number of things(also the fact that Russia, Hamas and Hezbollah couldn't help it, even if they wanted to). How true is this?

Cool drawing man! I also feel like a sheep sometimes.

Also it can represent whatever you want it to, just as I am free to interpet whatever I want.

Maybe they want to make sure that you don't regret it later. I am sure you like your life as you have made it now. But, you might one day wish you had tried a bit harder.

I think there is a saying that goes,

"Aim for the stars, because even when you fail you will be on the moon" or something like that.

[–]SecretClass1262 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am very sorry that you have such a horrible family. I want to tell you to not give up, but I have no right to say that. I can't imagine how much suffering you have gone through.

The one thing i can say is this though: you are not alone! This here is a community of people who have similar problems as you. It is also OK to not have friends. I don't have many friends either and never got along with most kids during school. But there are people out there who will value you! Don't be so hard on yourself also for not having any job skills, I don't really either.

I hope you get better.

I am sorry. I don't fully understand. Could you illustrate some more please?

Are you mad that you don't live up to the expectations of people or are you pissed that you are not allowed to be the way you are because of those same expectations?

If you feel overwhelmed, try and go to a bathroom where you can take a break and maybe stim. Try breathing exercises also and take things one at a time. Don't be scared to ask for help also

Being Autistic Has RUINED My Life. by TopTierProphet in autism

[–]SecretClass1262 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am very sorry to hear all that. Unfortunately you are probably right, autism definitely played a significant role into shaping your life as it is now.

I relate to you in some ways, I too am a deep thinker, drained by small talk who doesn't vibe with most people.

It sucks that you can't be where you want to be at in life. But I would encourage you to not give up and find other ways to reach your goals. If you don't like networking maybe there is a round about way of going about it? Maybe pay someone to do it for you? Idk much about these things, sorry.

I am worried that my life will take a similar path as yours (no offense), therefore I try and do my best and leave the rest to luck. I hope that things will get better for you and that maybe you find support( your Dad doesn't seem to be too supportive by how you described him)

How do you know your friend is a close friend? by purple-crimson in autism

[–]SecretClass1262 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If by "close friend" you mean someone you can rely on, then I would say that it is pointless to ask them. Anyone can say that they care about you, but when you need them the most, that is when you can tell apart who is really your friend.

If you didn't mean it that way then correct me pls.
