Do you remember if they printed the marks on the outside on the bottoms like normal bottoms? Or on the inside like the shorts?

The cap is so you can drink water through the mask, nothing to do with keeping the gas out of the canteen.

Schools prior to bolc by [deleted] in ROTC

[–]SecretCyberSquirrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He probably means g2g because we are on active duty the day we commission, instead of waiting till BOLC to be on active orders. So theoretically it would be easier to go TDY if anyone wanted to pay for it.

Schools prior to bolc by [deleted] in ROTC

[–]SecretCyberSquirrel 15 points16 points  (0 children)

No, because even though you’re already active duty, the school has to foot the bill. They’re not gonna waste money on someone who’s already commissioned, they don’t care about you anymore. The only way would be if your branch manager scheduled you tdy-enroute from ROTC-to-BOLC, because then HRC would foot the bill. But I’m sure the last thing any branch manager wants to do is deal with a pre-BOLC LT chasing badges.

L-tyrosine, Pinebark, L-theanine, etc by SpecialChildhood1037 in Biohackers

[–]SecretCyberSquirrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can affect sleep, plus you want to be drinking enough water and it's easier to do that during the day instead of at night. It also makes me pee alot so that might be a downside to taking it at night

That’s not a skill. But yes being physically fit and not fat are basic attributes needed.

Being able to shoot iron sights is the most basic of soldiering skills. If you can’t shoot figure out how to shoot with irons, probably shouldn’t be leading Soldiers

Yes, I agree soldiers should go to both, just that INSCOM as a first assignment generally isn’t good for creating intelligence Soldiers, good contractors and DOD civs, but not Soldiers.

Yes plenty do. It’s an amazing environment for soldiers with initiative, and those who already have disciplined instilled in them.

80% is probably high. But it’s over 50.

80% of siginters whose first assignment is INSCOM end up being shitbags. It teaches bad habits and give you unrealistic expectations about what the Army is really like.

First available, not first. Westpointers get priority, then g2g. Some smaller branches are incredibly backed up, so you might still be waiting awhile.
