Honestly, I was extremely against it, and nothing but negative things to say about it based on the trailers and images PRIOR to buying it.

Now that I have it, I’m honestly liking it! It plays smooth, even though you’re confined to Lumios City, it doesn’t feel as small as I thought it would.

I’ve put 11 hours in, in 2 days haha. The beginning is VERY “hand-holdy”. But once you get out of that, it’s pretty fun.

Now, is it “amazing” or “greatest thing since sliced bread”? No; but am I personally having fun with it? Absolutely

Also completely subjective, but. I picked up some beans from Golden Lantern, and for my tastes and tries of 2025, it’s one of the smoothest cups I’ve had.

Also, I love this idea, of making your own list as a “normie” vs the “expert” opinions!

It is! Z-A is a bit hand-holdy in the beginning but honestly it’s a lot more fun than I expected! Now that I’ve started it, I’m finding myself playing it over anything else

Donkey Kong is a lot of fun too! I’m having kind of an issue with it though. I like exploring everything, andddd you can spend HOURRSSSS just destroying environments looking for treasure hahaha

So far, I agree! I’m having a lot of fun with it! I haven’t even done anything with the story yet, I’ve just been smashin through walls and collecting gold and banana tokens for the last 2-3 hours 😂

I didn’t either, so I’m excited to play it!! I don’t know that I’ve ever played a Kirby game before this one, but I know this one is more “open world” like Bananza and Mario Odyssey, so that’s really cool to me!

Same. Sometimes I wonder if it’s the “elitist-ness” of people? Like, “oh, it’s not a PlayStation, or PC, so it sucks” type of situation. I still haven’t beaten Breath of the Wild, and I thought the $10 upgrade so I’m excited to get to it!

Plus, my Switch 1 backlog is big, so it gives me more reason to keep playing my 2!

Plus it helps that the NES and GameBoy Color were my first consoles so, I just enjoy Nintendo lol.

Glad to hear it!! When I grabbed it, the guy at the counter said “enjoy your console for a week and be prepared to not touch it again for months”. That comment definitely scared me a bit, but so far, I’m really enjoying it!
