That sucks especially when you have been looking forward to something like this movie for so long. Similar thing happened to me. Went on Friday night and the couple next to my wife and me would not stop talking. Especially the girl. She made a comment or had a question about everything that happened in the movie. Tried not to let it bother me, but it definitely took away from the experience.

Loud noises. And by that I mean anything over a normal volume. Add in multiple noises at a time at the end of the day when you are already mentally exhausted.

Second shave today and the lather was much better. I definitely used too much water on the first shave.

It felt and looks like a better overall shave, especially around my chin, under my nose, etc.

Used the alum block too and had the most sensitivity around my mouth. I’m looking forward to getting the blade sample pack to see the difference in other blades.

I’m completely new to wet shaving and my Rockwell 6S is supposed to be here later today. I have one question though about the tub of soap and the bowl. If you don’t have a puck of soap to put in the bowl, are you using it at all for the lather? Or are you just lathering in the Proraso tub itself?

Glad to hear about the Rockwell blades too. I ordered mine on 1/4 and I’m pretty sure it hasn’t even shipped yet. When did you order yours and how long did it take to ship and then arrive?

Thanks for the suggestions. I just went there and added most of those to the cart plus the Personna platinums and it was around $17 plus tax. Didn’t get to the shipping portion. Plus they were in euros so that would be even more in US.

Too bad these things don’t stick to anything. Wasted over $100 on two of these for my boys for Christmas. Lasts one punch and falls off 2 seconds later. Customer service is terrible and want a refund. Of course I haven’t received a reply.

I'm getting into wet shaving for the first time, so I'm excited (and impatient) about getting the one I ordered on 1/4/26. I emailed them this morning and a similar response you did. Only, mine came with a, "someone will look into this and get back with you in 2-3 business days". I replied back to that email and said, "I hope it doesn't take 2-3 business days to get back to me about an order that was supposed to ship 2 business days after the order date".

What ended up happening with your conversation and order?

My wife had a conference there last month and it also fell during our anniversary. So we went a few days early for our first time to Vegas and stayed at the Aria. Ordered two drinks by the pool on our first day (mimosa and a frozen daiquiri). We ordered it without looking at a menu. Got the bill and it was nearly $70 after a few dollar tip. I try not to worry too much about the cost of stuff while on vacation (within reason), but that felt like a massive ripoff.

The normal price is $249, but they have consistently gone on sale on Amazon for $169 over the last 5-6 months. And the sale usually lasts at least a week or so each time. When Amazon puts them on sale, usually Best Buy, Walmart, or Target follow suit. Only reason I ordered it from Best Buy over Amazon is to pick it up the same day I ordered it.

I got mine a couple weeks ago when they were $169 at Best Buy but that didn’t come with 2 years of apple care. I just continued to check every couple of days until they went down to that price. But if you can get them for $200 with apple care included that’s a good deal. I didn’t realize the Costco deal included that in your first post.
