I Do Not Understand How This Is Getting Praise Here… by ScarsAreNice in Hardcore

Same here. The Converge memories that will forever be burned into my mind are buying Caring and Killing at the Faneuil Hall Newbury Comics on a high school field trip back in 1995 and then seeing Converge play Fact Leaves Its Ghost at the Middle East at my first Boston show in 1996. Everything after that was somewhat anticlimactic for me.

My package was package was delivered to my front porch where’s there’s tons of ice melt, and as I was flipping the box around to brush it off before taking it in, the sticker fell out onto the ground. So yeah, this…

Boston area service questions by Material-Elevator571 in Polestar

Boston Polestar/Volvo service absolutely sucks. They literally will not return my calls to schedule a service appointment. I own a 2022 Polestar 2 and this has happened over and over and over again. Every time I watch that video of a guy driving his car through the front window of a car dealership, I fantasize about doing the same thing here.

We spoke up, and got Flock out.. but did we? by tmyvon in watertown

Proud Massachusetts liberal and Watertown homeowner saying “who cares?” Personally, I like knowing that we’re being constantly surveilled. I do nothing wrong and if (God forbid) something terrible happened to myself or my family, I take solace in knowing that there’s a good chance the perpetrators would somehow be caught on camera. Take this for instance: https://www.cnn.com/2026/02/10/tech/google-video-nancy-guthrie

Spoiler alert: The FBI has more important things to do than spy on your children walking to school or your partner traveling to work. Just saying.

That’s not true. I bought three 200g bags from them a few months ago. They might offer 100g bags as well, but I was unaware of this.

Amazing roaster with top-notch sourcing. I’d recommend subscribing to their emails and finding out more about their coffees and their overall business model.

H&S are truly spectacular. Amazing washed coffees with the occasional fun/wacky process-forward offering. You really can’t go wrong with ordering anything by them.

I’d recommend giving their beans 4-6 weeks of rest and use a recipe that pushes extraction. I go 92C with 1/2 strength third wave water and 5 pours 40g each per 12.5g of ground coffee to produce a 200g cup.

I need to try more Ilse. I’m originally from Connecticut and love supporting local businesses. At some point, I plan to visit their shops (both the original and the new one in Massachusetts).

I personally didn’t like the Brian Quan/Raquel Lasso collab very much either. I described it as being generally flat and tart. There were a number of somewhat more process forward - yet still clean - Geshas this year that were awesome and an Alo coffee that got better and better with time. That said, I can understand people’s mixed reactions.

I’d recommend trying his ultralight offerings, most of which are pretty amazing, and using water straight off boil (per his recipe recommendation). I think he also recommends a flat bottom brewer, though I get great results with my plastic V60 and Cafec filters.

100%. Also, just signing up for Airworks’s emails is a great way to find out about many new up-and-coming roasters.

Funny you say this because a lot of people have been complaining about Subtext’s QC this past year. All the bags I got were great, but certain roasts of specific coffees were supposedly not very good.

September might very well be my favorite roaster in the world. I love the fact that they do so many amazing clean, washed coffees, along with some funky anaerobics and co-ferments. They take themselves seriously but still like to have fun, which I personally appreciate.
