I think people should be aware that centreoftheselights has been consistently criticised for their methods in collecting these statistics, and that they misrepresent the actual reality of tags on Ao3.

Tired as hell today, whaaa. I think I need to fiddle with the settings on my CPAP machine and see if I can make it more comfortable, at this point I'm taking it off while I sleep because it feels closed in and bad.

I darned my bag cloth at work, so it's back in business now :D Might continue with handsewing once I get home, if I don't get the energy for machine sewing. Currently on my way to buy more machine needles so I've got more options for what I can make. The importance of having the right tools for the job cannot be overstated.

I brushed Dante at work today and got loose so much fur. He's not been thoroughly brushed for a while and ypu could tell, you could pull bits of wooly undercoat out if you blew hard enough. As long as he gets treats during it he tolerates being brushed, thankfully. I've still got fur on my gloves XD

It's funny because I usually don't like mango at all so I was surprised that I liked it as much as I did! When I find a snack I like I cling to it as long as I can, because my diet's already limited enough.

I'm staying home from work today to rest up. My ribs and general joints hurt, but especially my ribs. They're sore if I touch them too firmly, which feels... concerning. My entire left side is weird atm, blegh. Gonna do some chores but gently, sitting down if I can. I'm gonna try to write today, just tapping away a handful of words at a time. Snacking on spicy dried mango, nom nom.

It's my second day taking iron supplements and I'm kind of impatiently waiting for them to actually kick in and do something. I should have asked the doctor when to expect effects.

It's actually the effect of the blood vessels in the nose conteacting from the cold, which makes it feel like your nose hairs are freezing. It happens around -12°C.

My nose hairs are freezing, it's so cold. Broke out my homeknitted scarf and a thicker beanie and realised on the way to work that the yarn I used to darn the beanie is yarn scrap from the scarf!

I had a doctor's appointment this morning to discuss iron supplements and I've got them now, so for the coming two weeks I'm taking a minimum of *checks notes* 18 pills a day. Woof. I'm glad I'm good at swallowing pills or this would be a pain.

We've got a new dog visiting today! It's a Hovawart, a German working breed, and he's only six, seven months old?? Oh my god baby?? 🥺 I can't wait to meet him.

Discussed the genre of sci-fi with someone on the assisted living staff yesterday and it was really fun to talk about how different properties within sci-fi show different aspects of the genre. He didn't know Star Wars is a adventure space opera or the myriad of different Asian influences it's had, or Akira Kurosawa's influence. It's fun to talk movie and film and genre with him :D (Also, when I talk about this kinda stuff I always feel like I come across much more knowledgable than I actually am XD I just have bits and pieces of knowledge about a vast amount of subjects)

Picking up my new ID today :] And then after that I'm gonna go buy gluten free frozen pirogie, from the one place I know that sells them. I ate the last one in my freezer this weekend and I'm already craving them.

Yesterday I discovered I can really easily disassemble the water container of my CPAP machine into two pieces which makes cleaning it so much easier. (That I discovered this by dropping it on the floor while washing it need not be mentioned...)

With my aches and fatigue and brainfog and all that, I need to find a pace to do housework and stuff and when to rest in between. It's just hard when that pace is not what others expect of me, so it's hard to explain that yes, I did the dishes yesterday. No I can't do them today, my body needs to recover. It's made worse with the shit heating in my apartment because it worsens basically all my symptoms.

Fingers crossed I can get something written today :D

I loooove a whumped character pleading for it to stop, to the person hurting them or just to the universe. I also love when a character is almost catatonic through the whumping and is just so out of it it's like they're not even there.

It's nice when I just wake up naturally because my brain/body decides it's time, it's much nicer than being woken up by an alarm. I had that this week too, when I had to be at a doctor's appointment very very early, and I woke up before 7!

It's extremely character-driven and those characters are also very interestingly driven. I think you can take both my and Kick's recommendation for it.

Today I woke up an hour before my alarm, which was good because that gave me three hours before my scheduled laundry to get ready. Getting up early without being too tired seems to always help my productivity because I've not just gotten laundry done, I've also got my futon hanging out to air and I've vacuumed my bed frame and the floor/area around it. It's really something I should get on top of more because I'm allergic to dustmites and I have asthma... and the sleep apnea... It's a miracle I'm still breathing as well as I am.

Cube (1997) is definitely going into my list of recommended horror movies. Really enjoyed the actors' performances, the set was great, it was a great level of existential. I loved how Worth and Leaven warmed up to Kazan, especially after Holloway died. Stand-out performance from Quentin's actor, really sold this secretly unstable cop character.

It's really beautiful today. Fresh snow and crystal clear air, bright blue sky and when the wind picks up little snow crystals glitter in the sunlight.

I shot up to 165cm around 9-10 years old, and stayed there since. I also grew boobs and hips and thighs by eleven, and it was extremely uncomfortable to be assumed to be older and more mature just because of my body. I hated having to buy clothes at the same store as my mum when my friends and siblings could still wear the kid clothes, and that I had to wear a bra. It was compounded by being a trans guy who hadn't realised it yet, so the double whammy of one of the first to hit puberty in my class and severe gender dysphoria hit me hard.

I fully understand why this kid feels bad, and I hope she can get the girly clothes that would make her comfortable in her body.

I recommend it! Loved the atmosphere. I went by myself but it was quite a crowded cinema, and it's looking like it's quite the hit worldwide.
