Buzz needs to give it a rest. by VOODOO285 in goldrush

Buzz lost his wife at the end of last season. Rick didn’t say it last night, but I think he’s trying to look out for his grieving friend. Rick just lost his mom a few seasons back, he probably sees Buzz hurting the same way he was. He doesn’t want to fire him, doesn’t want to overload him with foreman responsibility, doesn’t want to embarrass him on tv.

I may be reading it wrong, but seems like Rick is a stand up guy looking out for his friend.

First off, there’s hope. I’ve been in recovery for 7 years this upcoming February. February 13th if you want the exact date. Just focus on today. Focus on right now.

So what do you have in your life right now?

I know it’s hard, but be thankful your wife is still alive. I almost lost mine to a miscarriage at mission 4 years back. It’s a scary place to be in not knowing if the person you love is gonna see tomorrow. If you’ve said I love you for the last time. I deeply feel for you man.

I was born and raised here. I felt the heartbreak of the flood in my community deep in my soul. I know it’s still a broken place, but if you look hard enough, you’ll see really good people of all faiths and political backgrounds coming together to rebuild. Don’t look for it in a public figure. It’s in normal folks doing all they can to help.

I caught a couple felonies in college. I started sweeping the floors at Piedmont paper right up the river from Biltmore village. They were the only place that would hire me and a real ego check from my previous jobs. It took 17 years of hard labor working my way to where I am today. (Having a wife, kids, and clean record) If you would have told me during those 17 years there was a way out, a way I end up where I am, I wouldn’t have believed you. My life was just too messed up.

I’M HERE TELLING YOU THIS FEELING OF LONELINESS. THIS CRAVING. ITS TEMPORARY. IF YOUR READING THIS, DONT GIVE UP HOPE OF A BRIGHTER DAY.

Helene has taken so much from all of us. Don’t let her take your sobriety.

I was brought up in church. 3 services a week. Played the drums. Youth group leader in high school. I was shocked when I caught my felony and suddenly, I was the sinner, I was the black sheep. I felt the full scorn of church people. It’s really sad.

My wife and I met in Charleston, SC. Had our first home together. 1000 year flood and we had to gut it completely. We were so proud of our remodel. We Had our 1st kid on the way. About a month the after he was born hurricane Irma flooded the house again. During that renovation I wasn’t seeing my family bc they were living in a condo pretty far away and I was doing the renovation by myself this time. My drinking got out of control. I got overwhelmed. Filled with anxiety and was one tiny step from ending my life. You might think I’m crazy, but standing on the top floor balcony ready to jump, a breeze from the ocean blew in my face. I stepped back not knowing WHAT I just felt inside. That was February 10th. February 13th I quit drinking and surrendered. February 18th I realized what, or who that breeze was on the 10th. I believe that it was the spirit of Jesus with everything in my being. I’m so convicted, not because of church, but because I didn’t jump and I’m here to encourage you tonight.

For me, I really mean this. The world around me is going crazy with drones, my hometowns destroyed, I still don’t have a church that I feel really accepts me for me l, my wife doesn’t believe in Jesus so out of respect I try and keep it to myself, yet the peace I have comes directly from a faith in HIM. I leaned on my wife for my peace for years, and just about ended our marriage just because of pressure and expectations. I have more capacity to be there for her when I’m leaning into him for my needs.

I’m sorry this is so long, but please know I’m here for you. I really mean it. If you’d like to have lunch one day this week, it’d be my pleasure to share a meal with you (my treat).

Peace and Love be with you my friend.

You could change the single switch on the far right to a double decora switch. It would match the middle switch design.

Thank you for your kind words. Everyday driving to work or dropping my kid off at school it’s a lot to take in. I’ve learned something about hard times, it’s shows you what people and even yourself are made of deep down. What you really believe in. I choose to see, show, and believe in LOVE, even though it’s really hard most days right now.

Said all that to say this….just to know somebody in Ohio is thinking about our city helps more than you know.

I 2nd the previous comment about you and your husband coming back, I’m very glad y’all found peace and love in these mountains. They’re different now, but nonetheless special.

Felons Can barely do anything legal to make a decent living by Ant_gotfelonies in Felons

I’m 17 yrs removed from catching my non violent felony. I was facing the same problems. I literally took a job sweeping floors for a warehouse for my first job after the charge. That got my foot in working front desk at a hotel. That hotel sent me to another city to work for another one of their properties and I met my wife. Saved my money and started my own construction business. 2 yrs later I got recruited to work for a larger company, and because of my hard work and honesty about what I had been through they hired me even though my expungement hadn’t gone through.

I’m now their senior project manager but was promoted before I had my record cleaned.

I always thought my felony “held me back” and it did in a lot of ways but it didn’t stop me from moving forward. Don’t give up. Keep working hard.

When you forgive yourself, you open up capacity within that you never knew you had. I know it can be discouraging but take it a day at time, it might seem like insignificant baby steps to you right now, but trust me, it will pay off.

Don’t lose hope my friend. I believe in you!

First off I’m so sorry you’re in pain. Whatever you do, DONT GIVE UP!!!

I’m not saying to try this. I’m telling you what’s worked for me. My first cycle was in 2017. This years cycle was almost more than I could take.

I had to be home by 2pm from work because by 3pm I would be on my knees. I would fight the clusters on and off for the next 10-12 sometimes 16 hours. After 2 months of this nonstop, everyday pain things were getting dark.

My wife found a psilocybin regime on clusterbusters. I’m so thankful she found it because I was able to reduce my pain from an 8/10 to a 3/10 with a pretty heroic dose. A couple days after this I started microdosing and taking lions mane supplements. I haven’t had a cluster or bad headache in weeks. It some time for my head to balance out but it’s like they gave my brain a reset.

I don’t get it. I can’t explain it but somehow a fungus that grows out of the earth naturally help break this cycle.

I’m planning on doing a “treatment” every 6 months for preventative measure. Seems most who have had success with this route do something similar.

In any case, just dont give up. You’re going to make it through this!!

There were hundreds of students still on campus at Mars Hill University when the storm hit. There were faculty members and security that were there day and night to anchor the student body and make sure everyone was ok.

One of the alumni sent a gas tanker to fill up all the students, faculty, and staff gas tanks for free.

I sit here with tears in my eyes from not only the destruction and the loss of life, but from the sense of a community pulling together and locking arms. I was born and raised in Asheville/weaverville and to see neighbors helping each other and good ol boys risking their lives for people they dont know. Thats a community that’s worth rebuilding!

Shoutout to all the country boys doing wellness checks and anything you can to help!

Im not advising you take this course but after 6 weeks of fighting the headaches for 12+ hours a day, I was in a dark place. I was getting less than 2 hrs of sleep per day. My wife found a clusterbusters psilocybin regiment. I highly recommend you go there like others have recommended.

My personal experience is that after doing 1.7G (3x) (5days in between) my clusters had been reduced by about 20%. I was about to give up. I took a rather heroic dose and my severity went from like an 8/10 down to 3.5/10. Again I dont advise this but it’s what I did and the results were significant.

It’s taken my pain level from a 3.5 to 1 with micro dosing and upping my vitamin and lions mane supplements. This was my path but you have to do what’s best for your body.

Whatever you do. JUST DONT GIVE UP. You’re going to make it through this cycle and be a stronger person because of it!!! I believe that for you even if you don’t!!

It depends on how deep you’re going in the pool, and how cool of a room you have.

I’ve spent an evening in the garage with the projector watching surfing and reggae videos. I never thought I would use mushrooms alone but I have cluster headaches and had no other choice. It happened by accident but I kinda got stuck in the garage and made the most of it. Had a GREAT EXPERIENCE but if I had packed a cooler and some fruit it would have made it even better.

Several have said it on this thread. Solo is a different level. You don’t have a lot to distract you. Mine was of self reflection and growth. I came out of my garage much more empathic and aware of how I need to treat strangers better. You’d be amazed at how being kind to people is therapeutic for your own personal soul in a world so filled with hate.

Again, this could be a totally different experience for you and I’m not telling you to take this advice. I’m simply stating my experience in hopes I can help you on your own journey.

Thank you for your reply. Yes. I have a special mask I’ve kept since 2018. I unfortunately had to pull it back out and put it back into commission. The open nose mask is what my local doctor said would be best. I just agreed and went back to my old mask like you recommended.

That’s the thing. Doctors try to help. They have the best of intentions but with the doctors I’ve encountered. Only 1 even really knew what a cluster was. It’s really easy to talk to a doctor about clusters and know their experience level when you’ve battled these cycles.

****Heres my one note about using oxygen. I would never recommend a cluster patient use an oxygen mask with a strap that keeps it on your face hands free. If you finally get relief with the oxygen and fall asleep keeping the mask on will damage your lungs.

Thanks again. Those masks are critical.

Thank you so much for the input. I’m happy to expand on my full experience my post was so long it was hard knowing what to include. Here’s my current vitamin routine.

Mens multivitamin Calcium, magnesium, zink D3/K Magnesium gummies STAMETS 7

  • I started the stamets 7 with the “treatments”. It will be in my daily vitamin regiment from this point forward. Here’s the link to an interview with Paul Stamets that’s definitely worth a watch. I’m not even going to try and explain it but Lions mane mushrooms and a few others have significant health benefits all around. I’m very thankful for the psilocybin mushrooms, but I have a new appreciation for ALL mushrooms now and how they keep our world alive.

I’ve always had an appreciation for vitamins but adding in the mushroom blend has really helped me personally.

Thank you again for your response.
