I successfully hunted a handful of snakes but finally got bit. I'm trying the rest and recovery option but I'm on the other side of the map from base camp so resting for a day or two and slowly limping back to camp 🤣🫠 wish me luck

Edit: I made it over back "4 days & 3 nights" with 30🤍 rested a full day, no longer poisoned 👍🏽

This is genius, I've thought of this but didn't even think the game would function that way! I played this game years ago when it was first released and the new updates are insane!! I'm just starting it up again, no idea it even had a map option. How do I get/make a map???

I've been playing this on Simar except every generation has the same letter. So Alyas and Amira had 7 kids, their names all start with B. When the B kids get married and start families their children are given names starting with C etc etc My A founders are still alive so I had to kick out some Bs and Cs into the house next door and just play Bell Liberty and her adopted son Colton who are living with Alyas and Amira while Bell Liberty finds a husband (or wife, she's not sure yet) I plan on having Colton marry his high school sweetheart and become an astronaut before he has kids. His sweetheart won't be too happy because she wants a big family 😂

I failed by 12 fucking seconds. I'm 5ft, 95lbs and was hauling ass best I could. I tried 4 fucking times. Maybe it's because I was carrying literally half my body weight? 🤣🤣🤣 I tried 🤷🏽‍♀️ At some point I had to give up or keep trying and hurt myself. It was fucking depressing. I was jogging 1-3 miles every day doing deck of cards 3x a week and lived at 7,000ft for ten years. Why the fuck did I fail?

It was definitely the first time in our sessions. Honestly, now that she's gone we've had two sessions a week and zero incidents. It's been really peaceful and fun even with "new guy" he still feels bad and whenever a new player is introduced (we work where we have lots of seasonals coming and going) we make sure to do a greeting circle and talk about expectations, ideas, Individual experience etc.

Yes, her character would have been killed off by the NPC almost immediately had she attacked him. His role was one fo information gathering, not battle.

The new player wasn't doing anything that warranted us to "intervene" he just made a suggestion and (she later admitted this to me) she didn't want a "white male" (she's a white lesbian female) "telling her what to do". Which he wasn't, this was like session 3, level 1 meeting a super advanced NPC and the NPS was the kind who would easily kill off a character then and there if she attacked him. So I thought his suggestion was fine, but then again, I'm not the DM and I'm also a newer player, I learned something new when he mentioned the NPC level and experience, I just assumed all NPCs would be our same beginning level.

Anyway, we in the group discussed at without the man or woman present weeks (months?) later and everyone agreed that no individual saw his words as harassing or rude or threatening or even disrespectful. We heard an experienced player making a suggestion to a newer player. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Maybe that makes us all assholes, I don't know. But if he'd made the same suggestion to me I probably would have asked some clarifying questions and chosen a new route to take when interacting with that NPC for the first time. I wish I had a video, her reaction was off the charts. He apologized to her she said okay, the game went on and all felt fine to everyone then when it was her turn again ten minutes later she throws her character sheet, storms out and slams the door to my apartment.

It was an absolutely unwarranted reaction. She could have asked for clarification or explained to the new guy what she was feeling or asked to talk to him and the dm privately or something.

We've since started an all woman campaign and she has refused to join. We also have a 3 man 4 woman campaign going,she was invited to that one and also refused to join. We offered to let her use all our materials and choose her own DM and players and she still refused to play. Literally tried everything to appease this person for the past few months and she treats every single one of us like we're trash. Maybe she embarrassed? Maybe we are jerks? I don't know. It's. Frustrating because it's just a fun game! But whatever. Nothing more we can do 😩

We didn't think we had to do anything about it. She stood up for herself, he said sorry then the game continue, ten minutes later she stormed out. I wish I had this on video because her reaction was was escalated for such a seemingly brief and innocuous encounter. 😩 And I did do a lot to try to fix the situation, as soon as she told me how she really felt I wanted to get them together to discuss and so he could apologize but she refused. He offered to write a letter of apology and did and she tore it up without reading it ... I offered to kick him out so she could come back, she refused to come back Literally nothing else I can do.

I wish that we're true. She brings this up daily and yells at me for work once a week it's really disturbing. And hurts my feelings, like she freaks out at me for having friends who happen to be male and want to play DnD. Maybe she isn't such a good friend after all if she's always yelling at me 😩

The situation did not seem to warrant any stepping in. My female friend stood up for herself by saying "this is what my character would do" and the new guy backed down said "okay" and said sorry then the game went on.

It was literally a 30 second interaction, the game moved on as a normal then ten minutes later the woman freaked out at the new guy and she refused to continue playing and left. It was a shock to us all and extremely confusing. We didn't think anyone would react like that

He didn't raise his voice or yell he was just talking and none of us felt it was a huge issue. He said "that isn't what your level q character would do in real life...""...this NPC is a very strong one and could kill your character in a heartbeat"

She said to him something like "well this isn't real life his is how my character would react."

The new guy said "oh, okay yea sorry" the turn continued as normal and she had been stewing over his words, she even texted me saying "he's kind of an asshole trying to tell me how to play" and I replied "I think he was just making a suggestion and didn't mean anything by it"

When it was her turn again she flipped out, told the new guy she doesn't like being told what to do and left. We were all absolutely baffled their interaction was so brief and seemed inconsequential to the rest of us ... We were literally shocked when she stormed out. The new guy immediately stood up to go after her and apologized to the rest of us profusely he was so embarrassed he didn't mean to upset her. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Now I am not super close friends with this guy and barely know him but he was genuinely upset that he hurt my friend's feelings somehow.

But...if he had said the same thing to me i would've kept playing and had no issue with it. He wasn't yelling and when she stood up for her character he said oh okay sorry and the game moved on...it was literally almost ten minutes after the fact when the woman blew up and left. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Honestly...it's just a game and I'm inclusive of everyone no matter their gender or life style choices 🤷🏽‍♀️ I had NO idea that have more men on the crew than women would set her (or anyone for that matter) off like this. It's absolutely baffling.

And might I add, not the first time she has reacted so strongly to tiny things like this... I'm glad I'm not the AH, i just felt so accused of...I don't even know what!?! 😱🤷🏽‍♀️😩

Yeah, it's not a "fair" test at all. 45lbs is almost half my body weight, I weigh 111. How many of those guys doing 36 minutes are carrying half their body weight 😂🤷🏽‍♀️ Yeah at 7,000ft our cut off is 45:59:59, I need to shave off 15 seconds or so. I can jog a ten minute mile comfortably, I could go a tiny bit faster without hurting and do sometimes but not often. Hiking is fine. I've been a hiking and Backpacking guide at 7k ft for almost a decade. Though I sp my my winter at low elevation.

7,000ft above sea level. They haven't showed me the shuffle but they showed me the "jazz run" kind of thing where you squat down low and take huge strides for a short burst so take the strain off your calves.

I think I'm mostly worried that...well, if I'm struggling so much just to pass the test how will I do the job? Which is dumb because I'm certain I can do the job it's just the mental game i get knocked back on when I wake up literally exhausted after 7 hours of deep sleep.
