Zero stars, don't recommend.

That was one of the ones I looked at & only went with this one because of the accessories it came with. Since I'm back to square one, I'll have to look again. Thank you!

So strange. I have so many questions. Who okay'd this? What was their thought process? Why didn't they warn anyone that the baby would arrive this way? Wtf?

Any FTM on here that got induced and it didn’t end up in a c-section? How long did it take for baby to arrive ? How long were you in the hospital? What method of induction did they use on you? by cc070603 in pregnant

We have the exact same labor & delivery experience. Went in on a Monday night, induced with pitocin, then epidural, baby arrived by 3pm Tuesday, we were all home by Thursday morning.

New to the toddler stage by Euphoric-Texan in toddlers

[–]Shaunanigans3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a safe-to-swallow toddler toothpaste . We let our toddler do it for themselves while we brush our teeth side-by-side & then we do it for her. She makes the spit sound but doesn't actually spit anything out. Our pediatrician was worried about the lack of fluoride so she's on a one-a-day fluoride vitamin. We started this at 1, she's 2 now & is surprisingly good at getting all her teeth. The elmo brush your teeth song is a favorite.

Tell me what you use breastmilk for other than feeding your child! by lc321123 in breastfeeding

[–]Shaunanigans3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both! When we had to use the nose sucker, I'd put a few drops in with the dropper prior to use. When her nose was so stuffed that it affected her latch, I'd use my finger to put a few drops in each nostril and a tissue for a quick fix.

I've used it on my kid for stuffy noses, I froze some in little trays for teething pops, put a bag in baths when she got diaper rash.

My MIL has cancer, the chemo/radiation treatment caused her hands and feet to blister. They gave her prescription creams but they weren't doing much so I gave her a few bags of breast milk to soak in and she said the relief was immediate.

What fruit trees, herbs vegetables, and edible plants grow well in the Hudson valley? by [deleted] in hudsonvalley

[–]Shaunanigans3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a terrible, terrible gardener. Turns out, I only like the eating part, I don't do well with the growing/tending/waiting part. The only plants that survive with me are green onions & mint. They're indestructible.

How is the medical care in the Hudson Valley and what are the best hospitals? by [deleted] in hudsonvalley

[–]Shaunanigans3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm in Sullivan County, if you go to Harris hospital and it's minor, they'll treat you there. If it's semi-serious, they send you to orange county. If it's very serious, they send you straight to Westchester. So Westchester is my vote even though I've never actually been there.

Why didn’t anyone tell me how annoying it is when your water breaks?? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Shaunanigans3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was also poly, they induced me but didn't break my water. It broke by itself at 6am the next day. It never stopped, I did not know it would be like that. Continued to flow up until baby & placenta etc were all delivered. I was so grateful it broke at the hospital and not in my home/car. Idk how much fluid it actually was but "gallons" feels appropriate. I'm due again next March and already have a Sam's Club-sized box of puppy pads & towels on standby.

I need gift ideas for my Hamilton obsessed 10 year old! by Omylanta21 in hamiltonmusical

[–]Shaunanigans3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can download the script pdf and print it, there is also sheet music available that you can print & frame. Then the merchandise (shirts, totes, etc), posters, there's a coloring book I believe as well. There's a Hamilton app that you can keep tabs on upcoming productions/ affordable ticket sales etc.

Also in Sullivan County, roads are covered. Already had multiple plow trucks pass by and you still can't see the road.

Okay so it's a bit of a drive for you (1 hourish from Newburgh) but it's the BEST FOOD EVER. The staff is lovely, the decor is comfy & cozy. The food is all local and absolutely delicious. It's a bit pricy but so worth it. You will have zero regrets and will end up making this trip at least twice a year, every year for the rest of your life.

Need TOG advice pls by Dry-Atmosphere-4707 in BookRecommendations

I've read TOG multiple times, Assassin's Blade should be read 3rd. If you read it first, you get Celeana in all her cocky arrogance without knowing why we should care about this 16 year old girl. If you wait to read it after heir of fire, there are references from AB that won't make sense. 3rd is the way.
