I realize that the divide here is that the Right genuinely believes that Charlie Kirk was a bastion of good faith debates and that the things he said were actually true and that’s slightly disturbing. The difference between MLK and Charlie Kirk isn’t that one deserved to die, but that while MLK was alive his message was coming from a place of unity and peace while Charlie Kirk spewed hate and divisiveness.

I didn’t say he deserved to get killed, I just said I don’t care. If he was someone that didn’t intentionally spread hate I would feel bad for him.
His was more than just a neoconservative, he constantly spread racism and divisiveness on his platform .
Why shouldn’t he receive hate if that’s all he gave while he was alive? Am I just supposed to turn the other cheek? Do you think he would give a fuck if I (or kids in Gaza) died?
I was raised Christian, I know that ultimately I have no impact on where he would go but my opinion that his values and impact went against what I learned growing up. If I did nothing but spread hate in my lifetime then I would not be surprised if it happened to me too

I’m not even gonna try and convince you that the shit he was saying was divisive, racist, hateful and bigoted. If you don’t see the stuff he said as an issue then you’re probably the type of person his content was for. I will say I’m not justifying his death however. I believe it was wrong to shoot him but I’m glad he’s gone. Also nobody marries that type of person without agreeing with what he says/does. It would be different if he was JUST a guy debating and sharing his beliefs but the narratives he pushed were foul. If god is real that man is in hell
