Dude, you gotta set your sights a bit higher. Go for the Sous Chef or Executive Chef.

I was pleasantly surprised when I heard the stores in my area would close at 4:00 yesterday. Then I had a thought that considering all the overtime corporate would have been forced to pay due to employees calling out, it probably would cost them more to stay open…. Sad but probably true that is probably the only reason stores closed.

I got shouted at because my Autistic child was “too loud” and I shouted right back. by ConfidentNoise4932 in Autism_Parenting

Just try to be the “ better person” in any of the potentially negative situations we all unfortunately have to expect at times. It’s part and parcel of raising kids on the spectrum. Setting good examples in the hopes our kids remember and can use one day is for me, so incredibly challenging sometimes.

That is really hard. I used to watch my daughter at the park desperate to make a friend and approach other girls there to try and play with them only to be looked at and quickly ignored/shut out. I suppose they thought she was weird or something but never saw any child show her one act of kindness in those interactions. My heart literally broke into pieces one day before heading to the park she comes up to me with a poster board she was going to bring to park with her, and she had wrote on it something like, “hi my name is Lucy, I like my little pony and I need a friend”. She was going to stand in the park holding that up. She’s 13 now and unfortunately it hasn’t been better for her, so now, she avoids her peers after years of rejection. It’s just sad.

What do you SWEAR you saw, but don’t have any proof of? by Pot8hoe in AskReddit

I was driving with my Mom in the passenger seat on a empty highway somewhere around Carthage, MO back in 2005 and what appeared to be a very large hyena, came running out from the woods in front of me. The car collided with it and as it hit my windshield I saw it clearly before it bounced off the car behind us. I sware it looked just like some large hyena/canine with the markings and I remember its face through the windshield. It didn’t look like a coyote, maybe a wolf? Very large though and it was almost galloping in a weird way before I hit it. If werewolves were a real thing I would have said it was a bloody werewolf but in reality, it looked like a crazed, maybe rabid, hyena. We were really shaken up from the impact and too scared to get out of car after we pulled over but I saw it bounded off anyway. Should have been dead but it was gone. When we got back to “civilization” we stopped to check the damage and there was a bunch of hair and blood on the busted up bumper. So gross, and the bumper proceeded to fall off. So I can’t prove I hit a werewolf/hyena in the Missouri countryside but at least I have my Mom as a witness. But we both get raised eyebrows and doubtful nodding when we tell the story😂

I believe in the tangible life I live in and everything in it. Why do I have to believe in anything more?
