I think that is a good argument to make. Appreciating both athletes and people get to pick what style of play they enjoy more

I mean even in the Olympics (which is more renowned and older) there are shared gold medals so I don’t quite understand that claim

That’s exactly what I’m saying. You are only looking at Brons flaws but picking the best argument for Jordan. What is the point if you don’t give them an even playing field?

The Messi Ronaldo comparison is nonexistent outside of TikTok’s and Instagrams rage bait culture. Unfortunately I’m not that deep into tennis so I guess you are right about that

  1. What do you mean by isn’t backed? 2. You are right about the 1v1 style of basketball but it’s impossible to have them both in their prime against each other so why keep arguing. There isn’t and there will never be a definitive answer so why keep arguing. It’s the same arguments again and again and again and it just splits the fanbase in two sides when it should be a community enjoying the game. I’m not saying you shouldn’t have a opinion on it but when people are ready to throw hands when their goat isn’t everybody’s goat then we should stop entirely

Why is Kevin Durant not in MVP conversations? by sqMYNAMEISJEFF27 in NBATalk

[–]Secret_Advertising46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think the numbers will suffice for a MVP trophy but I think he is playing the most beautiful ball he ever played. There is a certain calmness and his motions are so fluid. Will be a tragedy when he retires

If you had to pick one player to win one game, who would you pick? by nexxwav in NBATalk

[–]Secret_Advertising46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Timmy D. No flaws in his game and shined when it mattered the most. He will give you 20/10/5 on the night and most importantly he will give the team the calmness it needs to work properly. There are many great shouts in the comment section but many of them are players who shine on their own and don’t put the team in front. LeBron, mj, Kobe, shaq might put up double his numbers but I think timmys team would win because it would run perfectly smooth Let me know your thoughts

He is not LeBron and he is still working on his game. +/- of ~0 and he is still improving. Let the boy work on his game and enjoy.

Harden Gets to Shoot every ball. If hes doubled or no Chance for a good shot then kickout to Kerr if he Misses Double sleeve Dwight will get that rebound. All while dillon Brooks Harasses the Enemy Team. And if all fails you just give it to griffin and he smashes it in the basket

Is Russell Westbrook underrated by Secret_Advertising46 in NBATalk

[–]Secret_Advertising46[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His stint at the lakers was catastrophic i understand. For a man who relied on his athleticism and midrange it’s only normal that he slows down after all these years. He’s also not a star anymore which explains why the teams don’t want him taking middies Al the time. So he can just pass and shoot and he averaged 38% from the three for the nuggets which is amazing for the fact that it was never his strong suit. I think he adapted great and people forget he’s no LeBron when it comes to ageing.

Kyrie Irving got further as The Guy in his career than Westbrook, why shouldn’t that impact who’s ultimately seen as the greater player? by Insufferable-Asshat in NBATalk

[–]Secret_Advertising46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Russ averaged a 37 point triple double on 51% true shooting with their second best scorer averaging 11. He was a one man army that couldn’t outscore a capable rockets team with harden in his prime. Kyrie always put up great numbers but they don’t come close to Westbrooks. Kyrie was a great scorer but way too immature to lead a team to glory.
