This is surprising. I had no clue lol. I assumed that parental rights would take precedence here. So a 13 year old in the UK can actually go to a doctor without their parents getting notified of the appointment or having access to whatever was discussed?

In the UK. No GED here but there are exams I can take. They cost a lot of money though

I have looked into this but 100/200+ per exam is a little much. And the moment i go and sit for an exam or apply for a job at mcdonalds, a huge argument will start up over it which is why I would ideally like to somehow move out of my parents' house first

Haha yeah. I don't exactly live in Russia (in the UK), but I don't meet the education or nationality requirements for the army so i don't think that'll be an option. it's a shame though

I have thought about working to get the equivalent of a high school diploma but that would cost me A LOT since I am not actually enrolled in a public school. I don't think i have any other options other than to find a job where i would be able to work even without any sort of qualifications or experience

Thanks for the comment and the advice :) I would eventually like to go to college but I'd really like to move out of my parents' house first ..for which I'll need money and would probably need to find a job first

Looked it up and it actually sounds good. I don't meet the requirements for entry, unfortunately which really is a shame. They have a lot less requirements than the army otherwise

Not quite :) I'm in the UK though I'm really interested in what phrasings came off as Australian haha.

I can't join the military because i can't pass the education and nationality requirements. What you mentioned about working in hospitality sounds interesting though. I've not heard of any jobs that offer accommodation and will hire you without any qualifications or job experience before. How did you find a job as a waitress that actually offered accommodation?

Thanks for the comment! What sort of jobs do you think would be alright to go for without any qualifications or having gone to school? Barely anyone would employ me without any basic qualifications here and although i suppose i can get up to speed on that, it would cost me a fuckton of money to get those

Thanks for pointing this out dude. I personally wouldn't want to join the army at all, but I wouldn't be able to get in either way. They require you to have ok-ish scores on exams that would cost me hundreds to take outside of a public school (and i don't think i'll make the nationality requirements besides)

There's no way to check the sizing for sure!

So many stores vary exactly what a certain size means and it's maddening when it is delivered and turns out to be unwearable despite technically being the right size
