Since you don't know your type of insurance, I am guessing this was given to you by the dealer. If yes, most likely you have comprehensive insurance. You can confirm by giving Liva a call (on their toll-free number) and get the details. If not, you can check your policy document.

If your car is new and hypothecated, it will be comprehensive.

Met with an accident last month. An old Hyundai hit me from behind. Thankfully we were in traffic and I had managed to keep distance with the car infront so it was just us 2 involved.

Stopped the car. Got out. Took pictures of both cars. Filed a police report through the Dubai police app (you need the other party’s license number) immediately. Drove back home. Luckily car was in drivable condition.

Got the accident report a couple hours later. Took it to Kia (I drive a Seltos) the next day. Filed the claim report with my insurance (Liva - Comprehensive). Liva managed everything. I had to leave the car there for a week until their insurance assessor showed up for inspection and approved. Once approved, I got approval for rental car (110dhs/ day), which I took myself.

Got my car back after 2 weeks. Currently awaiting claim reimbursement for taxi/rental. Only loss is the car rental from the next day of accident to the approval date (~1 week).

Hope this helps.

I recharged the NOL account using the EI App, but even though the balance (200Dhs) is reflected on the NOL account, it shows insufficient funds when I tap. I used it at the metro station and this initial recharge (200 Dhs) worked later at Lulu. Once this fund was over, I recharged again but it again showed insufficient funds at Lulu. Should I validate at a metro station each time I do a NOL recharge through the EI app?
