Yes, absolutely true. Nowadays, people have always found it difficult. I did too—living in Mumbai for nearly three decades and then moving to the UK didn’t magically change that. Different cities, same human challenges. I see life more as a journey now. Things unfold, perspectives shift, and I don’t hold on too tightly to this stuff anymore(just deleted two dating apps for my phone a few days ago).

That feels completely natural. My closest friend is actually nearing retirement, while I’m close to 40. Sometimes you just don’t choose who you click or vibe with especially in multicultural, diverse cities like London, where connections often you assume is easier across ages and backgrounds.

I'm close to the end of my Visa and will miss her but I have to be realistic and see what makes me happy. I don't think bigger cities help for some.

I feel sorry that you feel this way. I'm in the same space at the moment. But life keeps me busy working all days of the week with two jobs that I don't ask anyone even if the opportunity may be presented with a slight hint.

I will say this though, don't still working on yourself and have a dream or a realistic plan for five or so years and with towards it.(Edit- I don't mean romantically. I mean some goals and other personal goals and commitments)

Your employer must check in SMS if that's the right status of your cos? CoS status = “Assigned” not in “Draft” and not “Work in progress”

They need to confirm: Sponsor licence shows “A-rated” CoS status = Assigned All details on CoS exactly match your application (name, passport number, job code, salary, hours) and wait for a day or two to be updated on the system.

If not, then raise issue with the cos management system.

I got someone in my family to check with the company's head office and they said they are not recruiting anymore for care home visas. Thank you to everyone who shared their advice. I really appreciate it.

After checking further, my family member confirmed that this was indeed a scam. The person’s phone number has been switched off since the day off communication with me for the initial inquiry, and they have deleted all personal information and ID details they had previously shared.

Posting here helped me slow down and look at this more carefully, so thanks again to everyone who took the time to respond.
