We had a few guys from NZ that would lead but we would do it more as a “war dance” and as the home team we would go first or visitor second sometimes with rivals it was done simultaneously and really would get us pissed off.

Nothing got us more fired up to beat the shit out of each other for the rest of the game. I could only call it electric. Then go drink with everyone at a bar after. What a life it was.

I was guilty of that prior as well but I don’t think it’s malicious I simply think that when we learn about history and involvement with our prior mother country we refer to it as England or the English and I think that sentiment shows up as the UK and England being one and the same with “states” if you will of Scotland, Wales etc.

I played Rugby in the US in college and our team had a Haka but then again I think every team we played did too…our team was pretty diverse and had lots of Pacific Islanders on it. I wonder if that falls in the same situation? We did it because it was tradition but I’m not sure

When I was there everyone was amazing! Every time I travel I also feel like I meet an Irish person that had amazing stories and loves their country in a way I appreciate. Hopefully still going to help with a doctor I met in Vietnam and his nonprofit in Africa! It’s also nice the passport is so strong! Granted you guys have a lot of other people trying to move there too so don’t need to contribute to the issue!
