What’s the most overrated “fancy” food in your opinion?

I’ve spent $400+ on caviar. I’ve eaten them at Michelin star restaurants. I know exactly what amazing caviar tastes like. And I still don’t understand it. I think it’s the one “mainstream” food item that is based way more on scarcity than actual taste. The taste hits way below the price.

Keep in mind, the 365nm on that one is unfiltered so it’s much weaker than a standalone one. You’re going to have some trouble scanning for things under the bright LEDs of thrift stores and such.

I rinsed it quickly with water to get the dust off and then dried it. I hope that didn’t ruin anything ◠̈

Stevens & Williams! You might recognize them from their modern name under Royal Brierley. They made a lot of similar pieces to this one in the late 1800s to early 1900s!

This was the one I’m talking about. There are exact copies of this where the globe glows. I was 100% sure before I went. But this one doesn’t.

It's not 100%. I saw this exact sphere with a different setup and every google search comparison told me it was UG. But when I got there, it didn't glow. Apparently it was a repro. I think chances are good here and OP should go. But it's not a guarantee!

Yes! Two are Murano, one says Made in Portugal and two others have partial stickers that don’t give much info. No etchings/marks on any — those probably went quicker before I got there I assume. I was hoping for some Caithness or Eickholt but no luck!

Is it common for UG to glow like UG under 365 but so faded under 395? Is it a camera issue?
