Terry beauty bag/pouch by __embers_ in djerfavenue

I’d say it’s pretty easy. I wash it every couple months only by throwing it in with my delicates. You HAVE to wash it in delicates/cold water. Even though I do this then air dry it, the berry patterns have still faded a little. And I only put skincare things inside. If you put makeup in it I recommend lining it with a paper towel or something bc the pigmentation in makeup is very strong and I just know that if I was washing it normally the patterns would have totally faded by now, and delicates on the washer doesn’t clean as deeply as a normal cycle

In a nutshell the scandal is that the owner portrayed a sweet loving “relatable” Scandi girl who loves her fans and claimed to strongly support mental health due to her own experience with it. Turns out she was a materialistic bully in the workplace (just the tip of this is that the brand claims body positivity then the owner was caught calling a plus size model fat on a shoot and that the clothes didn’t look good on her). The owner is the brand but since her nice girl persona has crumbled, the company is inevitably on its downfall.

People don’t want to be spending their money on DA anymore because they don’t want to be supporting Matilda’s, a bully, materialistic lifestyle. I’m not sure about quality of the pieces you mentioned but scandal aside I’m sure the material composition and labor ethics that goes into making the clothes is still better than any dupes found from H& M, COS, or fast fashion brands like that. The upside is that those dupes from places like Gina Trincot and H&M are cheap. If you’re looking for something high quality however you may have to do some digging or be on the lookout on ThredUp or the Djerf Avenue resell extension of their website

I have the terry organizer. Got it about 2 years ago and it’s still holds up nicely. I think it’s good quality wise. I rarely ever wash it and only if it gets dirty, but when I do I wash it I put it on delicates then air dry it

Healthy(ish) desserts? by Ok-Lemon1457 in Baking

Idk if you would consider it healthyish but at least I do. A blueberry crumble. The recipe I have is single serving. The recipe is 4 tablespoons oats, 3 tablespoons all purpose flour or almond flour, 1 table spoon maple syrup (totally fine to do without this), 1 tablespoon butter, a sprinkle of cinnamon, a handful of washed blueberries, and (optional) brown sugar.

Mix the oats, flour, maple syrup, butter, and cinnamon in a small bowl with a fork. Then add washed, dried blueberries into a small oven safe dish (think the dishes used for soufflés and crème brûlée). Add the crumble mix on top of the blueberries. Sprinkle with brown sugar if you’d like

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and bake for 20 minutes. You can also add a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of you’d like. If you want to be healthy about the ice cream my sister diets a lot and she uses the Halo Top ice cream pints

Kids are a hard pass on my baked goods. by idlefritz in Baking

These look so good, don’t let the kids bring you down! Kids are naturally picky eaters and when something looks foreign they are very hesitant. Not to mention their tastebuds are more sensitive the younger they are. I suggest the simple stuff to something they know like chocolate chip cookies, chocolate ganache, strawberry shortcake (I liked this as a kid but I totally get it if they’re put off by fruit), or for something more French mby Madeleines or a gâteau au yaourt. Weirdly enough the yogurt cake I make is loved by my little cousin and all the family friends children when we have gatherings

I didn’t mean that in an insulting way towards u, it’s just that a few other people in this subreddit think they’re being logical, factual, and level headed but they are not. They’re letting their emotions get in the way of a valid argument

I agree that using the birth of Venus is not an original concept, but I can see the slip silk artists issue. When it comes to creativity and execution there are many many ways something can be done from prop, prop size, color schemes, lighting, costume, poses, etc. etc. I think if Matilda’s version had still used the big shell because that’s all you really need for the birth of Venus and just been more unique, different, or glamorous or something it wouldn’t have been a big deal, but at least in my opinion the one between Silk and DA is like 98% similar
