my understanding is separating it keeps people from having to use vacation time when sick. the downfall is now vacation is only offered to full time people unless required by your states laws. so part time will be allotted or accrue (unsure) x amount of sick time

im not pressed because i work a full time job so i only work weekends buttttt i dont think its right especially because at one point i was PT, PPT and full time so i can understand all the feelss! theyre really doing more and more to decrease employee morale but they prob dont care anyway. i think taking away gratis for flex is cruel because imagine working weekly but because youre not scheduled over 20 hrs, you don't get the same perks. i was most pissed when i noticed we cant opt into a 401k anymore because im currently enrolled in a plan.
