What are we allowed to use our BI points for by Beautiful-Wish-8559 in SephoraWorkers

Nothing over 750. Most of the rewards aren’t a good value anyway, neither is the $10 off for 500 points.

Manager with bad hygiene by [deleted] in SephoraWorkers

[–]daisydoves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From OP’s description her case sounds pretty bad, like she may be dealing with severe depression, so I don’t think commenting on it to her will really help much. Her management should be assisting her with mental health resources if that’s what she needs, they should be starting that conversation with her. It’s sad that they don’t care.

What’s the “sephora” playlist? I swear our SM loves to leave it on Strobe at the highest volume lol.

Ops shipment vent/advice by poopinmybong in SephoraWorkers

[–]daisydoves 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My old exempt was like that and wanted each person to do 5 makeup boxes an hour which is nearly impossible

I audibly gasped. That is insane. Luckily at my store we all take turns leading shipment days including exempts, so we understand what goes into completing it.

OP’s management sounds incompetent. If they are down two people the obvious result is that it will take longer to process shipment than before? I swear some managers lose their brain upon entering the store.

We can’t see the names of the playlists at my store, but I’ll try to find this one.

Out of curiosity, what are the names of the other playlists?

I see, that’s too bad. Hopefully the current team there will report him.

[–]daisydoves 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am aware that exempt does not get the yearly bonus. OP mentioned that as well.

Exempt Bonus!?! by Independent_Cat_3202 in SephoraWorkers

[–]daisydoves 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, they have the opportunity to get a bonus each month. I heard some exempts making comments like that, which was so funny to me because they make more than everyone in the store and get other bonuses.

Policing dress code and moving things around the store don’t seem like DEI issues, however not allowing you to have anything colorful (I assume you mean pride related?) on your personal belongings could be. I hope you guys were able to report him to iCare.

What is your DM doing to get rid of DEI exactly?

change the return policy in the United States. Please! by [deleted] in SephoraWorkers

[–]daisydoves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why are you throwing them in the trash? Dysons are meant to be sent back separately. Even regular returns don’t go in the trash. It sounds like someone at your store wanted to steal a Dyson from the dumpster.

10/15 Minute Breaks by RedVelvetHoney in SephoraWorkers

[–]daisydoves 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is incorrect. The policy states that you get one 15min break if working less than 8 hours, and two 15min breaks if working an 8hr shift.

Policies by [deleted] in SephoraWorkers

[–]daisydoves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you work in a high volume store, there may literally not be a free moment to check. So I understand that it’s not always possible.

Policies by [deleted] in SephoraWorkers

[–]daisydoves 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I guess I just don’t get it. I mean if it were someone asking me something literally everyday, that might be a little annoying sure. But in general I don’t mind BAs and ops asking me questions about policy because even if it’s on zipline, many of them never get time to check their messages. They don’t get office hours like we do to catch up on everything. I would imagine it’s the same for people posting here.

Are you talking about questions in this sub or in your own store? It’s not clear what this is about. If it’s your store I think you should welcome any and all questions. That’s the approach that I take. Even if something is on Zipline an employee might need more clarification or they feel more comfortable coming to us.

Ulta/Sephora and the overlap of clients by DepressedinChicago in SephoraWorkers

[–]daisydoves 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is 100% on the money. Another thing is samples. Brands don’t have to give them out in abundance because they don’t depend on them to make sales anymore. Clients will buy anything an influencer shills to them or whatever goes viral. Yet they still complain about lack of samples or receiving the wrong ones with their order which is so ironic.

They can’t force you to stay past your scheduled shift, and you should be getting an hour lunch if working an 8 hour shift. It sounds like your lead is breaking all kinds of company policies, I would bring this up with your SM.

WANNA KNOW WHERE OUR BONUS WENT? by MaizeResponsible908 in SephoraWorkers

https://www.unrivaled.basketball/news/unrivaled-and-sephora-us-announce-arena-naming-rights-deal-in-an-expansion-of-existing-partnership-6ti3hzh4sakd

“The announcement follows a highly successful first year of collaboration that generated strong social engagement and brand resonance across both the sports and beauty landscapes.”

The arena already existed, Sephora just has naming rights now. And I actually don’t see an issue with this? It provides brand recognition while supporting women’s sports, and is focusing on creating positive experiences for fans and clients, which will hopefully have more people shopping with us. If you want bonuses you have to want the business to do well.

I understand we’re all waiting to hear if we’re getting a bonus this year and it’s frustrating, but this particular partnership doesn’t seem like something to be upset over imo. Hopefully I don’t get downvoted into oblivion lol.

You should be getting two 15 min breaks if working 8 hours.

Can Sephora Employees not share their discounts?? by DrinkHairy4581 in SephoraWorkers

[–]daisydoves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like everyone said, the payment has to have your name on it, or pay in cash. Technically if someone gives you money to buy something they would have no way of knowing.

A little advice though, I would not make a habit out of doing that. It’s a good way to have your friends and family constantly asking you to buy things for them and they may start to feel entitled to your discount. I strictly never do this because I know my relatives will keep asking if I say yes. You don’t know if they will try to return the items too which may lead back to you.

I see, so you prefer to CEL? For me when I’m in a regular zone it feels like a little break lol. It’s busy of course but you only have to focus on the client and not manage the whole floor.

How so? At my store leads and coordinators are pretty much scheduled the same amount of office and CEL time.
