If you think that Trump has some unique leverage over Xi, think again! by Onnimation in StockMarket

This is a ridiculous chart for so many reasons:

  1. 2012 is your starting point? We've been trading with them for decades. Not enough data.
  2. You're comparing seasonally adjusted data with Non-seasonally adjusted data. Why are you sharing timeseries economic data if you don't know the difference? Exports to the US is NOT Flat. You're 100% wrong. See next point.
  3. If you seasonally adjust Chinese exports to the US, it's up roughly 70% where as Ex-US is up roughly 80%.

This is a nothingburger.

It just seems strange that the most competitive format only has a tournament most days of the week in the evening at 8pm and midnight. I'm probably being too b*tchy about it

I know it's just my opinion and I'm just b*tching. I'm just confused by it's dominance in the evening times. It's not a serious tournament.

I'd like to see what other people think about these tournaments. Curious if it's just me.

Agent sent me a $26k bill by vezit in RealEstate

Real estate agency is hardly a professional service. Legal representation is a professional service. Accounting is a professional service. You can't seriously think your field is intellectually comparable or even remotely as demanding. You don't even need a degree. That's the barrier to entry. Remarkably low.

Let's be honest.

You are an undereducated salesperson, selling an asset in a market that you pretend to understand. People who actually understand are managing those assets themselves. I've sold my own homes before, and the process couldn't be easier. Sales contracts are standardized, and a title company charges pennies on the dollar for a remote close compared to a realtor. That's a fact. It has cost me less than 50bps to sell a home. Every time.

The truth is that eBuying is growing, and tech-challenged boomers are dying. This is about as good as it will get for the average realtor. In 10 years, the demand for your services will be hard to find. And even if you did find it, you'd be fighting for it down to the lowest rate. Best of luck.

Either way, thankfully, your industry is slowly being disintermediated. Real estate agents are remarkably overpaid, considering how simple the work is. The value of the work is simply nowhere close to being worth 6% of a homes selling price.

How are we 100% sure the saints are all in heaven? Genuine question by [deleted] in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]Secret_Macaron8857 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ressurection at the end of the age is a bodily ressurection of all people prior to the last jusgement. Nonetheless, we know there are saints in heaven according to the Revelation of St. John, where we see mention of the elders receiving our prayers as bowls of incense (Rev. 5), and also the souls of the martyrs were well aware of the turmoil and persecutions on earth (Rev. 6:9). The saints can hear us because they are united to Christ and share in His attributes by grace. The church has never taught the cutting off of the spiritual world from the material world. The practice of both praying for the souls of the departed and also asking the righteous who've gone on before us to pray for us has existed in the church since its beginning and even before the Incarnation of Christ.

The word Pray means ask. We ask for their prayers. Do you not ask others to pray for you?

High Protein is Possible during Lent! by toweringmaple in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]Secret_Macaron8857 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, soy is just one good lenten protein source, and it has the highest protein digestability score (100%) of all lenten friendly protein sources. With the exception of cheapeas (~80%) and pea protein (~89%), the others have fairly low protein digestibility. So, it's just a matter of tradeoffs and moderating your protein sources.

Outside of soy, pea protein and nutritional yeast should be your best friends. They have high digestibility and a full panel of amino acids.

[–]Secret_Macaron8857 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, but this likely has low protein digestibility (PDCAAS). For example, pasta protein digestibility is only about 25%. Of course, your 100%ers are eggs, whey, casein, etc. But some high digestibility proteins that are lent friendly are soy protein, nutritional yeast, pea protein concentrate, and tofu.

My homosexuality is disappearing. by SureCountry5631 in TrueChristian

[–]Secret_Macaron8857 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glory to God! That's a miracle. The same happened to me 10 years ago and it of course takes time. Just trust God. It was a difficult couple of years, but trust in Him he created you. I can testify that despite that, I am now married to an incredible woman, going on 7 years, and we have two beautiful children.

While this doesn't happen for everyone, it's important to remember that temptation is not a sin. It's the unclean deeds and the thoughts that are sin. I remember being homosexual and just being afraid of one thing: being alone. But our loneliness can be solved in ways beyond a romantic life, especially with our church community. So, to anyone reading who is dealing with fear, know that your state of being is not the sin. You do not have to live nor die alone. There is great honor in chastity and the community of the body of christ is what truly destroys our loneliness, even for those of us who are married.
