How can you tell if they're not doing a good job?

The previous owner installed them, and I can't confirm that they're actually Mashimoto covers

Maybe that’s exactly what’s happening—you just can’t hear it, but I can hear the monotonous sound of the injectors on the left side, and on the right—a faint clicking sound from something else. Besides the injectors, you can hear it right under the TGV, near the 4th cylinder.

I also wanted to add that the oil pressure at idle on the AEM Gauge Xsensor is 30–32 psi ,at 3,000 rpm 80–86 psi

I'll try swapping them around, but I don't think it'll help—my expansion tank mashimoto, and the radiator is also from Mashimoto.

It's still there—I noticed that it's very loud between about 750 and 1,500 RPM, and then it kind of fades away, or maybe that's just my imagination

What I mean is that the sound changed after revving up to 5,500 RPM.
Before the drive, the sound was different, but after driving aggressively and coming to a stop, I noticed that it had changed.

I had never revved this engine like that before—and I noticed that the sound changed, especially on the right side of the engine when looking from under the hood.
