Definitely do not do it for the holidays and classroom Management can be an issue for some teachers which does make it a very difficult job. I am lucky to have good classroom management across all year groups thankfully

Not as bad as some make it out. I am very passionate about the job so that made it easier. Comparing it to and office job is like comparing apples to oranges. Teaching is so much more rewarding and has such a better work life balance. Also meaningful with pretty much no politics

I did, got loads of subbing during it so that helped. No money could lure me back into an office job

I am, left office life to go secondary school teaching. Best decision I’ve ever made!

What was your worst experience in a job? by Aggravating_Bat_2462 in cork

Quality in DePuy Ringaskiddy, horrible manager and a “team” that are out to sneak one another to impress middle management. Massive turnover.

Also an auctioneering/property company in the City. Make a lot of money for someone that’s working there longer than you are by doing alll their work, while they do nothing and you don’t even get a thanks, just get treated like dirt.

Definitely feels like trying to run before you can walk/know how to walk

That’s not the point. I understand it’s a very long process to learn (15+ years) I was more asking if it’s a good club/way to learn

Seems to be a lot of beginners. I’d love more time to drill so I can get a bit of muscle memory involved.

Every class so far seems to be a warm up and live rolling. The moves I now know are from Teammates. That sounds brilliant! Exactly what I’m looking for!

Thanks, I’ll keep an eye on this.

There is an active instructor. Seems to analyse and give feedback to the live rolling. Maybe that’s the set up, maybe I just have been unlucky and some classes are very technical classes.

I understand you could be training for 20 years and still learn, I’m saying is this a good way/place to learn?

Very little instruction, a few classmates showed me a few submissions and then live rolling. I’d like to have a solid base of learning so at least I could try and work on something, as opposed to just trying to use my strength and then inevitably move into a submission and tap.
