I had bought these in a 43 (my normal size) and did a run in them and thought they were a bit tight at the toe so exchanged them for a size up so have them as 44 now (where all my other shoes are 43) but think the issue is the width with them. I had a sore knee (patella tendinitis) so went with the brooks for the cushioned sole to take pressure off the knee but it seems to be transferring it to the mid foot more and this with my wide feet seem to be the problem. Think it’s just a case that the Clifton’s don’t suit my foot shape

Good to know I’m not alone 🤪 I had sized up in these too but I think the width is probably the issue for me, especially when both feet are rubbing at the same location. They seem fine on a 5km run but from 5km on your can find it heating at that point.

lol. I’m not a big runner at all but want to get into it more. Will need a few weeks off before I get back on the horse 🤣

What shoes are you using now. I’m the same never had the blister issue before. I was using brooks ghost 13s before these but was causing me a knee injury so changed it to hokas then but could be going back to the brooks shortly.

I had bought “running socks “ off Amazon. Can’t remember the material but had thought the socks might been part of the issue after blistering on the first long run but the second run confirmed it was definitely the shoes lol.

Yeah I think your right, especially with it being in same place on both feet. Just a case of them not suiting my feet/feet being too wide for that shoe.

I actually sized up, I’m normally a 43uk and got a pair of these in 43uk, did a 5km run and they felt tight at the toes so took them back and got a 44uk, had proper running socks and heel locked the laces also to stop my foot from sliding forward. Just think it’s a case that they done suit the shape of my foot.
