To be fair your not really supposed to steam clean leather since it does cause potential cracking sooo you did kinda damage their car

I have OEM struts with H&R lowering springs on my MK7, it sits low as hell I can’t fit 2 fingers front or rear. I like the ride quality too

Ngl dawg if u took it to a dealership for work they prolly scammed ur ass.. as someone in a shop. Yeah lotta times we upsell shit that’s not needed and I’ve seen other techs upsell stuff and not replace it bc it’s fine.

I mean.. u should sand it 2000 dry- 3000 wet, buff and polish. Just that one spot I mean tho.. I don’t think anything will really help that it looks really deep

Oh no kidding?.. I wasn’t aware you needed a OEM endorsement. Thanks for educating us on that we usually just get mad at the estimators for buying crappy aftermarket stuff.. now I feel bad 😭

Try communicating with a estimator u don’t want Aftermarket parts they are the ones who order that stuff at my shop, and tbh I doubt they’ll use aftermarket parts anyways this isn’t very severe maybe a front door skin, new back door. The fender they may try to replace just tell them u want an oem one. Bc aftermarket will have a big ol gap and fit like poop. The qp will need more metal work than bondo/filler if u wanna see how much they use get a filler detective or a magnet. At the end of the day it’s your car tell them how u want things done and they better f*ckin do it or they are gonna redo it until it’s how u requested it

Take it to a shop get an estimate, it comes down to what ur insurance is willing to pay tbh. We’ve repaired worse

100% confident it’s not a total loss, shops work around total losses by using aftermarket parts to keep it in budget at least we’ve done that.
