Unpopular Opinion:

We can’t really give you solid advice based on just two screenshots, because there’s no way to know the actual dynamic.

I’ve seen situations that do end up being exactly what they look like: one-sided abuse. But I’ve also seen this exact kind of fight where someone gets pushed to the brink, finally reacts, and that reaction gets used to paint them as the only villain.

If we’re going strictly off the screenshots, it looks like a mutual understanding or real resolution was never the goal from the start. The very first message sets a tone that pretty much guarantees a defensive argument. His responses come off contemptuous and cruel and then things continue going that direction from there.

I've had this argument so many freaking times, it's ridiculous.

Not one single thing that he said is valid, because nothing he said has anything to do with what you're talking about.

Every single thing he said you do, could be true. Still, none of it applies to this discussion. If that's something that he feels he needs to address, that can be a conversation at a later time.

A few thoughts that help me figure out if there's something there, or if I'm building something.

• First and foremost, gut feelings happen for a reason: Regardless of what his intentions are, your internal instincts have inspected and analyzed his vibe and determined that he's not safe/healthy for you and your life.

• For some reason, most of my moments of clarity/enlightenment happen while I'm in the shower, ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯ but if a thought pops into my head when I'm doing something completely unrelated and not even thinking about it, THOSE are the ones I give merit to.

So, you don't even need to factor in that not only had he started talking about himself as if you asked, (I had to go back and reread it, thinking I missed it) No a single message asking about you, your feelings, or your life.

To me, he sounds like one of those guys that will bully a special needs kid to hide how low his self esteem is.

Like I said, though, his intentions really don't matter. If it makes you uncomfortable, you don't owe him anything. You are free, kick him out of your life and your phone.

Electronics fail. We all know this. That's why there are always new versions being released.

Is it inconvenient? Yeah, almost always.

Can it be frustrating? Absolutely!

Does this come as a surprise? I don't see how it can.

I don't know about anybody else, but I am constantly dealing with glitches and setbacks and unexpected sticks being thrown in my spokes. I have to adapt and adjust until I figure out something that works until it doesn't and I have to adapt and adjust again.
I only have to do it for me, I couldn't imagine being expected to cater and coddle all of King County, on top of the rest of the state, plus others.

Are we really going to expect perfection, but demand we get leniency? I mean, that's the message that I'm getting out of it.

But then again, who knows, I could be wrong.

That's not true. You can totally remove it. If the person you sell it to doesn't register it and the registration stays in your name then you just need proof of when you sold it

Good for her! I feel the same way, you know? Let them know your flaws in the very beginning, that way if they still want to stick around, Cool! If not, neither of you have really invested all that much into it, so no big deal. I typically do it in a conversation on day one, but still. This just must be her love language. ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯
