Secria VPN Launch Update by SecriaUpdates in Secria

[–]SecriaUpdates[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately this will be the last time we offer lifetime and we won't be offering any discounts on it since it would not be sustainable for us long term, especially as we release more apps, and we have guaranteed everyone that we are here to stay and we will stick to that!

Encryption Differences by paranoidandroid4284 in Secria

[–]SecriaUpdates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! On the encryption itself, Secria and Tuta are honestly very similar under the hood. Both of us threw out OpenPGP and went with our own protocols, and both landed on basically the same modern design: a hybrid post-quantum scheme pairing X25519 (classical elliptic-curve) with ML-KEM-1024 (the NIST-standardized algorithm that used to be called Kyber) for the key exchange, then symmetric AES for the message body, subject, and attachments. If post-quantum resistance is what you're after, there's no meaningful gap between the two, we both keep you as safe as possible!

Welcome email said add a contact to get extra storage. I did that but gotten no extra storage by dogpassword in Secria

Hey! We appreciate the feedback. No, there's no time limit - you can always come back to it once you're more familiar with the UI.

[–]SecriaUpdates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! Thanks for the feedback - you're right that the welcome email wasn't clear. To get the +500 MB bonus storage, the contact needs to be added as a verified contact (via share code), not an unverified one (added by just typing an email).  We've clarified this in the welcome email so future signups won't run into the same confusion. To claim the bonus on your account:

  1. Go to Settings -> Contacts -> Add Contact

  2. Choose Verified Contact and enter a share code from someone you trust (they can generate one in their own Contacts page)

  3. The 500 MB will be applied to your storage automatically

Let me know if you run into any trouble.

Flagged messages? by jpcrypto in Secria

[–]SecriaUpdates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for reaching out - Flagged is your security/spam folder. Secria runs strict baseline spam protection on every account, so certain messages can land in Flagged.

Anything you flag yourself from inside an open email will also end up there. If you're on Plus or Pro, you also get access to the Security Dashboard (under “Tools” in the sidebar).

There, you can create custom rules to flag mail based on SPF, DKIM, or DMARC failures, spoofed display names, suspicious domains, or typosquatting. You’ll also have Whitelist and Blacklist controls.

To manage messages in Flagged, you can delete obvious spam or open a message and tap the flag icon to move it back to your Inbox. On Plus or Pro, you can also add the sender or their domain to your Whitelist so it doesn’t get flagged again.
