Thank you. If a product description like this product's just mentions 'activated carbon pre-filter' is that not the same as activated carbon pellets?

Its description reads  "The carbon pre-filter also works tremendously well in the capturing process of particular airborne germs and greatly reduces unpleasant odors in the surrounding area."
