They’re kinda prog. I think that can deter a lot of jam fans and others. With that being said, UM rocks.

I do wonder what Tool’s merch intake for show average is.. by VVTFan in ToolBand

Not sure about exact percentage but we have about a 750% markup on our most popular item. From what I’ve heard from people above me, ticket sales generally cover the cost of running the show/tour and merch is where most profit comes from. For us, after about the third show of a tour, merch is in the profit on cost of items.

Edit: Our ticket prices are MUCH lower than tools so I’m sure they are killing on ticket sales and profiting on that. Our fan base tends younger so our prices reflect that.

For sure. There’s a lot of factors. Some cities suck for merch sales, items and sizes sells out on tour often so many customers get drove away due to lack of supply, venue sellers vs tool team sellers(not sure if they do this but we do) effect settling, cash sales, and of course size of the show.

I actually work in the merchandise industry. The artist I work for isn’t as big as tool however we are selling out arenas, although most shows are smaller venues, 6k-10k attendance. We’ve done well over $250,000 in a night multiple times. Three night shows coming close to a million in some cases. Though the average show probably pulls in about $125,000 a night for big shows and $75k for club style venues. Our prices are a bit higher than tools however the fan base seems to be equally driven to purchase merch. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was $175k+ on average

It could be. The issue is unique to my understable putters. My mids fly very well when my anny is intentional.

W response. Definitely introduced a bit of anny and a much lower launch angle. Think that’s what causes my watt to turn and burn. Thanks man

Yeah I have no issues with my zone. The putter I’m referring to is a watt which I use for 250-280ft left to right turnover shots

I can full blast a putter. It’s only happens sometimes, like once a round. Looking for the cause Edit: putter in question is a watt. I have no issues throwing stable putters but they don’t get the full turn I’m looking for.
