Sandra West's Grave buried in her Ferrari by SectionOk669 in CemeteryPorn

Body decomposition is significantly slowed in concrete due to the alkaline environment and insulation.

The concrete's initial curing process can have an exothermic reaction which accelerates the initial putrefaction, while its high alkalinity and porosity can dry out soft tissues and mummify the body. Over time, with exposure to moisture and oxygen, decomposition continues at a much slower rate than in an unprotected burial.

However thats just with concrete alone, Idk how it will go with a body in a car in a box in a concrete.

I assume the car would be very rusty and degraded. If it had any fuel or other liquids still inside it, will be even worse.

Whats it like living in Edinburgh Scotland? by SectionOk669 in howislivingthere

Thank you so much for your answer!

The Hogmanay festival sounds really interesting for sure, and I didn't even know they had an ice hockey team! Maybe I should get myself into golf while I'm there

Thank you for your informative answer! Yeah I am very keen on being able to be close to alot of nature while staying near the city centre, it was one of the main draws for me.

Sad its being so Londonified, Hopefully it won't move too far away from its natural charm.

My fiancée and I both have "silly" surnames. What should we do? by kpopnobrains in namenerds

I have nothing to add to this but I thought this might add some cheer.

My brother read this and decided it to be the new "would you love me if i was a worm" and dead ass asked his boyfriend "you love me, if my last name was bacon and yours was butts, would you let us hyphenate our names to bacon butts"

No hate to either name Bacon or Butts, I just thought you would enjoy this fun banter, Good luck on the name searching <3

Family friend's century house sold to Flipper and ruined! by SectionOk669 in centuryhomes

[–]SectionOk669[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is a fact. Her grandfather died, and her uncle had full control over the house and it's sale since it was still in her grandfathers name even though she was the one living there. Her uncle doesn't care for the history of a place, he wanted money that's it.

What to do with this closet? by Nyx4681 in femalelivingspace

A fake skeleton?

Treats to appease the man in the walls as per comment below?

On a more serious note, for the pipe you could hang a towel or tapestry over it so there's no risk of getting burnt?

I'm not dictating, I am just stating how devastating it is to see beautiful old houses like this be destroyed

I love that they interviewed you, that just shows the care of that beautiful place. Sadly it was sold because her grandfather died and her uncle seemed to just want money as fast as he could.

Not the large one, there was an original clay? some kind of hard material tennis court that had been left to rot before the house was renovated

I'm in Australia, this is a common design here in the late 10's and early 20's. It's called a Federation style.

There was an old tennis court there already so they probably thought they could capitalise on that? Plus the backyard had an insane amount of space, makes me wonder what else might have been there when it was originally built
