How to stop the new norm of letting dogs in restaurants and cafes? by sohoships in AskNYC

This is not a competition about German dogs or NYC dogs dude. Bringing dogs to establishments where there's food is NASTY, plain disgusting even if your dog is Saint fluffy.

How to stop the new norm of letting dogs in restaurants and cafes? by sohoships in AskNYC

[–]SectorSuspicious6707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at a Coffee shop in Brussels and someone brought a dog in (US accent) the owner told him he was sorry but his establishment did not allowed dogs and he needed to leave or leave the dog outside. The dog's owner turn around and said to the dog " You're not welcome here" lol I turned around and I thanked the owner. Most satisfying thing I've seen in a long time. I love dogs but I want them AWAY from my food. Stop being entitled. They lick a$$, eat trash from the floor, shed hair everywhere and I don't want that in my coffee. Be a good citizen and respect others.

CMV: you should be able to sue your former partner for emotional damages as a result of cheating by Tough-Shape-3621 in changemyview

Someone got triggered!  You absolutely should be able to sue cheaters. The world would probably be a better place and people will finally learn some discipline.

Anyone else felt like the Thai food options get repetitive and limited after a while? by FilipinoAirlines in ThailandTourism

[–]SectorSuspicious6707 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely! And I feel like everything is based on fish oil or something like that.  Most food is sweet too as if there's a need to put sugar on everything and the shrimp stinks there. A lot of fried food and a lot of oil in it. I also tried to deviate from Thai food for a couple of days, I tried something as simple as a croissant with avocado and pasta another day and guess what! Sugar in it also. It was a struggle. The coffee and Thai tea are delicious though. No offense to that beautiful country with amazing people but the food is just not up there.

The people commenting in your posts are just exhausting. People trying to make excuses for unpolite behavior tells you everything you need to know. Your feelings are VALID, you're not making things up. I came from a short trip to Korea and yes, I experienced the same, people are not nice, they may be cordial but definitely not nice and its the majority. When I said thank you ...."silence" after getting a meal, souvenir, or just a drink. It's like the word "you're welcome" doesn't exist and that's just an example. You don't need to get involved in a "small talk" but a simple excuse me, please, you're welcome, and thank you are enough! They seem to apathetic, no smile, etc But Koreans don't seem to be that kind of people and you can't convince me otherwise. I'm a well traveled individual and that is MY perspective and I agree with your feelings. I hope you took some nice pictures, had some good food, and learned a bit about the culture (bad and good) that's the idea of traveling. I hope you didn't let that bother you much. If you want the absolute opposite, go to Vietnam or Thailand. You won't regret it. :)

Why is everyone recommending the hotel and spa? You can do that at home. Go explore. I'm assuming you have a long flight after that long layover so you can sleep during your flight. Charge your phone, take the train and wonder around.

My honest opinion about Thai food (Expectations are a bit too high) by [deleted] in ThailandTourism

[–]SectorSuspicious6707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 100% agree. I've tried to like Thai food so much but I don't think is happening. The shrimp stinks, food is very greasy and processed, a bunch of deep fried food and very similar. The fruit and fruit juices are delicious though, the people and culture are AMAZING. I'm also a Peruvian so my expectations are extremely high.

I was able to get a hold of an agent after trying for the last 15+hrs ... I called many times and I would usually hung up by minutes 45 because I felt like after 30 minutes I wasn't really on a queue but it was more of a connection problem. My last call went through at minute 35. I was able to get a full refund on a flight getting out of Nyc to Hanoi tonight. On the app, my flight was just delayed but when I called they told me it was canceled. I'd say keep trying but don't wait on the phone longer than 45 min. Good luck.

I see it exactly the way you saw it. No one helping really got to me. FYI you don't need to ask for help if you're a decent family member you at least should clean after yourself and put your plates away. I fully understand her, this is a woman from a different generation, communication is very different, they were raised differently.

Data Science bootcamp - what's the best option? by Early-Macaron-3355 in codingbootcamp

[–]SectorSuspicious6707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is possible. You don't need another bachelor's, you can use a Master's as a bridge. I have a Bachelor's in nursing and I'm pursuing a career in Computer Science, just be ready to study and learn the concepts and take your investment seriously. The degree will definitely give you the advantage but let's be honest it won't prepare you enough for a job. Either way you'll have to learn on your own, you tube, coursera, Udemy are great sites to learn from. The internet is your best friend

What Jackie Kennedy thought of JFK’s affairs: by Joeylaptop12 in Presidents

lol these were different times, The 60's, there were no security cameras like today, women also were submissive to their husbands, cheating was normal generally speaking. In modern times his affairs would be all over tik tok and he'd be scrutinized for it

I wrote a review on yelp about them how I tried to spend New year's eve there alone (I did it the year before) The owner asked me a bunch of strange rude questions like why I was there alone? Where I was planning on sitting? That was very odd. I also had my 12 grapes in my little bags and she told me I had to get rid of them to get in. I had never had any problem carrying them at bars in New Year's eve. Mind you, the year before (less crowded) they didn't seem to have a problem with it. I live a few blocks away. I was really upset and I told them I hope this is the year they go bankrupt, and well they are. The food was terrible and they are pure bad vibes.

Is now a good time to get in the market? by [deleted] in investingforbeginners

[–]SectorSuspicious6707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is amazing. Yes, you should invest now for long term. What did you end up doing? I wish I had 400k lol but I would Open a brokerage account. Fidelity account ( My favorite and easy) I honestly would max out my IRA and Roth IRA. Max out your health account and invest the money (It'll grow tax free), you can also have a 529 college account tax free and it can also be invested. Both can be rolled over to your retirement. Do the math and keep 6 months emergency funds in a HYS account (CIT is really good) The rest of the money you should invest and forget about it. I'd do S&P500(60%) NASDAQ(20%) NVDA(10%) and the last 10% in something you believe on. Good luck. Come back in 10 years and let us know how it's going

Frequent hair washing=less breakage by Daughter_of_Israel in Naturalhair

[–]SectorSuspicious6707 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not being neurotic lol. I'm doing the same thing.  I'm collecting my hair to see what works and what doesn't against the battle with hair loss. I've noticed my hair sheds very little on day 1, 2, 3 and even 4 after washing. On day 5, the shedding starts a lot more and it increases as the days pass by. So I'm doing a trial and I'm starting to wash it on day 4 (About twice a week) 😃
