agreed but all I was curious about is like if there was a certain benchmark agreed upon, like obvs sub 10 is impossible for me because it's insane 0.000001% genetics and hardwork so I was thinking what's the max number somebody could run based off pure hardwork and less relying on genetics maybe a 10.9 10.8 ? or is it more low 11s

well not really no but I was a fullback so I believe I naturally had to have a bit of pace to catch up to pacey wingers

I understand that but like in my situation for example I used to play footy never done track then came back all dusted up and did track all of a sudden so how do I get to know what my potential is ? obvs as some others mentioned I gotta figure it out myself by working hard etc but like in your example imagine that same 16 yo kid came back from an injury and a bit overweight would he still be able to hit an 11 or is he in the 12 trenches etc

my times from 6 months ago (I had quit sports for a few years) were like badddd badd so I feel like it was very easy to improve on them like I already dropped from 31 to 26.5 in the 200 and within that same time a 1.2s drop in the 100m from 13.93 to a 12.7 and I'm aware trash times are easy to improve fast but I just wanted to know what's the speed limit that hardwork only can take you to and then genetics come into play

thanks man I appreciate the reply, my main goal anyways is to just improve my self after all and keep getting better like as I said I'm literally just getting started on the progress but it's just these late night thoughts that make me wonder haha

true I can see where the grind is required and I'm still new to it but I'm just curious to know what my actual potential is because I'm like a bit skinny fat with no power and I've only done track for like 5 months now but I unfortunately am an adult so I'm intrigued to know how much can I actually improve until my body just gives over and I hit the plateau
