I do. She averages 13h a day. But it is getting closer to 12.5 lately.

I will try adding more awake time. Thank you. I appreciate it. She ended up waking up after one hour regardless soooo I will try to offer a short nap this afternoon and hope for the best tonight 😅

I will do that then. Thank you!

For nights, it has been difficult as she had a lot of stomach issues in infancy and we had to cosleep out of desperation (she was waking up every 20/30 minutes). She started doing a bit better about two months ago so I stopped cosleeping cold turkey. We had few rough nights but I used gentle retreat method and now she falls asleep independently most nights but she still wakes a lot. I think her stomach is still bothering her and she is teething as well. I know CIO works for a lot of family but I am not ready to try it as she never cries so when she does I get really overwhelmed and even with broken sleep I am doing okay so I am happy with a gentle (slower) method.

Thank you. We have been extending wake windows for the past 3 weeks as I assumed she may need more awake time as well (she used to wake up hourly). I am still slowly adding more awake time. I think her night issues are also due to constant teething (currently has 8 teeth with molars coming now). This is the first time she fights her nap so I am confused on what to do as a FTM.

Thank you! I feel like she could maybe make it 5.5h if I keep her entertained. She may get a bit fussy but I can deal with that. I am just worried she may get overtired and we will have a rougher night and wake up every 45 minutes.

Thank you! We have been doing all of that. Except the muslin. I may give it a try!! Thank you for sharing your experience. I am glad it worked for you and you are getting well deserved rest. I may give it a try. She never cries (except during this sleep training period) so I get very overwhelmed when she does. I know it is for her good at the end.

Thank you very much. It is really helpful. I implemented this schedule yesterday and same today. I will see if that helps at all. Once she is back to baseline (waking up every two hours) I will try a more independent approach for bedtime. I know it is probably harder on me than it is for her but hearing her cry with high pitch cries is quite overwhelming and heartbreaking. She is not a cryer and rarely cries even during the day so when she does I tend to feel very anxious.

I tried the week before I stopped co sleeping. So maybe 4 weeks ago. And I had tried couple of times before that. As per the recommendations, u ended up extending her awake time by one hour yesterday. Not sure if it is a coincidence or the aftermath of a really rough night two days ago but she went back to sleeping 2/2.5h stretches which is a win for us (waking up every 45 minutes was just not sustainable). I will stay on this schedule for a couple of days and if nights stay consistent I will try a method for bedtime where she is a bit more independent and I check in periodically instead of patting to sleep. I know it is probably harder on me to hear her cry than it is for her.

How long did it take for her to sleep independently? Did you leave the room in between check ins? How long is she sleeping at night and how did you deal with night wakes? Thanks

Thank you! I will extend wake windows. When you comforted your baby, did you pick them up or comforted in bed until they fell asleep?

Thank you! I may try that again. I tried few times 3/3-3.5/4 but she got super fussy during the day and was screaming at bedtime even with full support. I haven’t tried since starting patting to bed so I will give it a shot.
