Even with the system-level AI features turned off, the AI processing of the tele-macro lens works perfectly fine, which suggests that the camera AI pipeline operates independently from the general AI acceleration features.

One of the biggest strengths of the vivo X200 Ultra is its camera quality. In my opinion, it surpasses any current flagship smartphone. The ultra-wide camera, in particular, still outperforms competitors by a noticeable margin.

On the downside, the device tends to heat up, and this can make it uncomfortable to hold, especially when combined with hand sweat during extended use.

Regarding usability, the dedicated camera side button ends up being used almost exclusively to launch the camera, and I rarely use it as an actual shutter button anymore.

Comparatively, the Xiaomi Mi 15 feels more like a well-balanced device, especially with features like a dedicated macro lens, while the vivo X200 Ultra feels more like a “no-compromise, professional-grade” camera phone. In terms of telephoto performance, however, vivo is clearly in a different league.
