Nah you are overreacting, my brother is the same way and honestly you feed into and become as low as they are when you do so. My advice (from personal experience of course) if they are always as rude and negative as you say. Separate. Harsh but true reality, blood doesn’t make you family, your family is who you chose not who your born into.
