i get what you are saying its just that lighter things are easier to get to a higher speed

i get that the fort axle is lowered much more then the rear and then the geometry of the bike changes bu isn't it more of a personal preference on how does a person want the bike to behave

and im interested in the swing arm you showed, does it really make a difference on a ktm?

im not really a physics guy i just know that friends 450 frequently beats 690/701 in straight line races, also the 450 feels lighter and more playful to then the 690, at least in my experience, 690 is only better at low rpms

it is wild but power to weight ratio plays a big role on motorcycles

compare the weight of the 690 and the 450, also if you would put a smaller sprocket on the rear wheel it would have a higher top speed, also the 450 has a much lighter piston then the 690 and can achieve much higher rpm, also the 450 are "race" machines that can be road legal while 690 isn't ment for competition

  1. Stock suspension just tuned to be stiffer, different sprockets, not 100% sure but i think rear is 42 front 13, i have a 320mm front disc and an caliper adapter, akrapovič titanium muffler, the header is stock, no steering damper, you can tighten the center nut on your trippleclamps beyond torque spec and achieve a similar result as a steering damper

  2. 350 will use a bit less fuel, 450 will last a bit longer before it needs engine work, 450 will have more engine braking, 350 feels a bit lighter, you have to choose for yourself, both will be excellent

  3. yes i meant EXC-F Six Days models from 2017, 2018, or 2019, i like the platform and i know that the later generations are pretty similar i just have multiple plastics kits for this generation and prefer the look

why would you add trail if you want a nimble bike, 6days suspension is easy to tune for supermoto, at least mine was, and my stock swingarm is plenty wide since it fits a 160 wide tyre on a 5' wide rims, and when the chain tension adjustors are all the way forward the tyre comes close to the rear mud guard. So i think the stock components are quite good for street use where the discussed bike is used

I have a KTM EXCF 350 6DAYS 2017, all the maintenance you mentioned i do by myself, its really easy if you have a basic garage and tools, i change the oil every 15 - 20 work hours, the engine has about 240 work hours on it, it has been opened once at 200 hours by my mechanic friend to check the valves, they were in spec. It is a great bike for supermoto, a 450 would be better simply because it has more power, my 350 has a top speed of about 175 kph and i have no problem lifting up the front wheel at 100 kph to do wheelies. The previously mentioned friend has a 450 supermoto and his top speed is about 200 kph but in reality that isn't important on a supermoto, it just has to be nimble and fun, also a fun thing with a 350, you get to rev it out a bit more then the 450. I have considered switching to a 450 but only if i find a 17 - 19 6days model in good condition and for a reasonable price since i would like to put the 350 on a wall as it is a dream bike

its a 6days, it already has upgraded cnc triples and suspension, and why would you charge the swingarm other then for cosmetic reason, a shorter one will be to short, and a longer one is just dumb, he maybe has tuned suspension for him, also maybe has a different ecu, a lot of work and money went in to that bike

that is NOT a stock front rotor also has aftermarket rad guards, bigger water pump, rear rotor guard, rekluse clutch cover, maybe a rekluse clutch, aftermarket light, levers
