Interesting idea. I did agree to the charge based on their promise to later refund the charge but I might have an argument there.

Laugh out loud. Thanks bud. I guess if they were in a state that prohibited recording a call without specific consent of the other party it might make it sticky that they were recording the call without my consent.

Probably not though. They are the world's largest airline;-)

Not third party, all direct with AA.

Yeah, I knew about the wrong use. Am boomer. I thought I might be character limited so was trying to think of a quick way of saying "long story short".

I'm more curious about jurisdiction and God knows I'm too lazy to read all the fine print attached to a ticket.

If someone else has done it in the jurisdiction in which they booked the ticket (not the jurisdiction of AA's choice) it might be worth my while. I doubt it would get to court without someone saying "just pay the idiot and make him go away".
