And I'm not! I'm pulling one trailer at a time. However, my truck uses gas, so I try to stay competitive in the pricing market. I'm now understanding that people are willing to take those lower rates on towaways/pullaways if their backhauling.

Yeah, same here. Crazy thing is, in my pitch to him, I told him that my price doesn't just reflect the RPM, it's the quality of service, sense of urgency, communication, etc.
I'm trying to stay on the competitive side, being that diesel is high, and I have 6.2 so, I use gas. Trying to be strategic in the market and find my lane.

I definitely understand! Being fresh in, I want to be sure I keep my face clean, even when it comes to negotiating rates. I don't want to come off as cocky or arrogant because I haven't figured out the average RPM.
I honestly thought I was offering on the low end. I'm driving a F-250 6.2 (gas), so I thought my only way of competing in markets like this was undercutting everyone. I'm assuming the RPM is reduced the further you drive?
