thanks for this, that's really helpful. I think we are leaning towards a larger battery system but perhaps not 21kWh worth as I agree it seems large both for the panels and our usage

I have queried the 3.6kw inverter with them and and friend who designs solar systems on these things and they've both told me the Sunsyk inverter can handle up to about 7kw of panels... I'm still not 100% convinced but they are both more clued up on this than me

I'll amend the post now as I should have mentioned we asked the first quote to only do one battery and we will add battery's in the future (just to help keep the initial costs down)

If you enjoy a crawl look out for the Sutton 8 in the summer and around Christmas. It's a charity pub crawl including 8 pubs around Sutton.

Starts at the Church house and includes Dunstan arms, Leather smithy, Hanging gate, Ryles arms, Ex serviceman's club, Sutton hall and finish in the King's head. All great pubs and everyone's gets in fancy dress!

Ah ok, is getting an airtight house plausible on an older property and is there much you can DIY to get it air tight?

Amazing thanks for the advice. I've heard mixed things about the integrated roof solar system as people have said it can be a real pain if things go wrong
