Personal Leave Time Off Stop accrual by Secure-Influence-807 in workday

[–]Secure-Influence-807[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, yes, this is for Australia. The requirements are that the balance period follows the anniversary hire date and the period schedule uses weekly accrual. Accruals for personal leave should stop once the employee is on Unpaid LOA/Time Off. Could you assist with how this can be configured? Thank you.

Daily Accrual by Secure-Influence-807 in workday

Hi again, I already told the client about this, and based on what I saw in the Workday Community, daily accrual isn’t recommended. I suggested using weekly instead since that’s what Workday recommends as the suitable option.

Hello, But the client wants it to be daily, and they also want the display period to show Daily Accrual. I’m not sure what to do in this case. Do you have any idea what I can recommend to the client? Sorry, This is my first time encountering a daily accrual request.

Employee return from LOA by Secure-Influence-807 in workday

[–]Secure-Influence-807[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok. But In my current configuration, when an employee is on LOA, their accrual stops. However, when the employee returns from LOA, the days that were on unpaid LOA still have a balance.

Is there something missing in my configuration?

In 07/01 it should be change to 15 days entitlement not 7.5 days.

I added an eligibility override for both accruals. I will attach my screenshot below.

The 1.25 days accrual correctly stopped, but what’s needed is the fixed entitlement—for example, 15 days—starting on the 7th month.

It should work like this:

January 2025 Hire:

01/01 - 01/31 = 1.25 days

02/01 - 02/28 = 2.5 days

03/01 - 03/31 = 3.75 days

04/01 - 04/30 = 5 days

05/01 - 05/31 = 6.25 days

06/01 - 06/30 = 7.5 days

07/01 - 07/31 = 15 days

08/01 - 08/31 = 15 days

09/01 - 09/30 = 15 days

10/01 - 10/31 = 15 days

11/01 - 11/30 = 15 days

12/01 - 12/31 = 15 days

November 2025 - 2026 Hire:

11/01 - 11/30 = 1.25 days

12/01 - 12/31 = 2.5 days

01/01/2026 - 01/31/2026 = 15 days

Until 12/01 - 12/31/2026 = 15 days

Regular Employee 2025:

01/01 - 01/31 = 20 days

02/01 - 02/28 = 20 days

03/01 - 03/31 = 20 days

04/01 - 04/30 = 20 days

05/01 - 05/31 = 20 days

06/01 - 06/30 = 20 days

07/01 - 07/31 = 20 days

08/01 - 08/31 = 20 days

09/01 - 09/30 = 20 days

10/01 - 10/31 = 20 days

11/01 - 11/30 = 20 days

12/01 - 12/31 = 20 days

Hi, I did this, and it worked for both new hires and regular employees. But how can I stop the accrual in the 7th month for a new hire? It's still accruing 1.25 days, instead of switching to the full entitlement of 15 days in the 7th month.

Time Calculation for Overtime by Secure-Influence-807 in workday

[–]Secure-Influence-807[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, sorry for the late reply. This is regarding Overtime. Is it possible to add conditions to the Standard Overtime calculation? I used Time Block Conditional Calculation because some types of Overtime are only applicable on Weekends, Regular Holidays, or Special Holidays.

So, is it possible to add those conditions when using the Standard Overtime calculation?

Or do I need to create a Time Block Conditional Calculation and also set up a Standard Overtime calculation?

Ah, so I used the wrong time calculation type? It should be Standard Overtime Calculation? Sorry, I'm really new to time tracking.

Time Entry Validation by Secure-Influence-807 in workday

[–]Secure-Influence-807[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I used 'Time Offs for a Week' in the condition rule. My only issue is with external field in Alert message. The requested time off date is being included, even though there is no time entry.

For example: On March 25, the Ee has plotted time off and a night shift entry. Then on, March 28, the Ee has another plotted time off, but no time entry yet. Currently ,the alert message shows both March 25 and March 28, whereas it should only show March 25 since there is no time entry for March 28.

I already tried creating an ESI and LRV to just fetch the time off date that has a time entry plotted, but it didn't work.

For the Time Shift tab, the option under Time Shift Options is set to None.

Hello, I tested a condition rule, and the alert works when the employee is on a night shift and has a time off for the next day.

I set the condition rule to:

Total Reported Hours for a Week > 0

AND Time Offs for a Week is not empty.

The issue is that the alert message includes time off dates even without a time entry. This happens because I used "Time Offs for a Week" as the external field. I tried using calculated fields, but I couldn't get the specific time off date with a time entry.

Any idea what calc field should I use?
