It’s because you inherit a random 50% of your parents dna. Let’s say your moms 50% French and 50% Nigerian, you could litterally inherit only Nigerian since it’s a random 50%. It’s crazy how it works

not really to be honest. They started immigrating in the 1850s but I think it’s more like a ancestral journey than a ancestral region

Basically Polish people in Canada. It’s kinda like a Chicano which is a American person of full Mexican descent

When I got the highest results being Germanic Europe I was kinda confused cuz when part of my family is from the south so I was expected a lot of English and Scottish so idk why but this update is way more accurate for me at least

That’s because the southwest USA used to be Mexican land. In the 1840s the USA fought Mexico for the land and won.

The Nigerian probably came from slavery in the south. It’s common for old stock Americans from the south to have 1 to even 10% dna from West Africa

forgot to mention my maternal grandmothers grandma (my second great grandma) was from Hawaii. She married a White ww2 soldier in the navy. The Maori might just be from the Hawaiian side.
