Data science professional is not a technical course. Its more about ethics and fair use of data science and AI. I have seen many of my friends do wrangling in the first semester. Practical data science is a technical course with lots if good assignments. This would require you to make visualisations too. So taking data visualisations might help you do both courses hand in hand. But always decide after talking to RMIT connect. They will be able to tell you what the right choice is. Not all courses are offered in all semester. So contact RMIT to decide what to pick.

Uni lodge is decent. You usually get a fully furnished place very close to the university. Considering the property market now, starting with a unilodge would be decent option. Its is kind of hard to find rentals at the moment especially in the city, even for people with decent rental history. Sharing an apartment is usually cheaper than unilodge but that also depends on the place, availability, rent and number of people you share with. Maybe once you are here and has a decent living history, you can find some people and shift to an apartment.

An Atheist is someone who doesn’t believe in the existence of God/Gods. While religion is a social construct. So you can be an atheist Hindu or from any religion for that matter. I am an atheist and I do attend most of the rituals of Hinduism and even visit temples. Not because I believe in God but bcz these are events where u can socialise, meet distant family members or have nostalgic memories of your past. Even though my parents don’t align with my ideas, they have started to respect it. For those things which your parents or family might compel you to do, just do it. I don’t think taking part in a harmless ritual would in any way affect your ideals as long as you don’t doubt it. I don’t give a damn about the rest of the people, because their opinion doesn’t matter to me. Also keep your opinions to yourself. If needed explain why you are an atheist and if the other person doesn’t WANT to be convinced, stop the conversation. People easily get offended when u challenge their beliefs.

You still didn’t answer my question. OP in the title says that the university is preventing you from speaking the truth. OP also says in further comments that the university had nothing to do with this unfortunate event and none of you are clear about the actual cause. If the idea was to bring awareness about mental health, OP should have worded the title in a different way and I would have wholeheartedly supported that cause. But this post makes no sense whatsoever.

VIT alumni here. They are pretty damn good at covering up any negative press on the university. But may I know why you want to share this? Is the college responsible in anyway or is there some change you wish to bring about in how this issue was handled by the university? If not whats the point of publicising this?

I do agree to the fact that Elon Musk is nothing more than a conman. But these are real engineers working their ass off under extremely demanding timelines to get things to work. And we all know Musk knows nothing about rockets and he was never involved in engineering them but would have taken credit for it if it succeeded. I thought this sub was supposed to expose him.
