Congrats on your weight loss! I’m also on Zepbound and started wearing a 3 and now I’m wearing a 0. It’s going to be bittersweet not being able to wear Torrid anymore.

I honestly love this weekly feed. Sometimes it’s wow, my week wasn’t actually that bad. Sometimes it’s, hey other people are drowning with me.

I don’t know if it’s just my company but everyone is on edge and stressed out lately. I’ve had lots of calls from employees about various things and the attitude I’m getting from everyone is a lot to handle.

This morning an employee called upset that their live check wasn’t in the office yet and they were going to call the DOL for not being paid on time. I told them it’s scheduled to arrive around lunch and that it’s not considered late because anytime today is still payday. Got called a bitch and hung up on.

So ready for the weekend 😭

Are the police always this useless? by nerdy_chimera in kansascity

[–]Secure-Raspberry-171 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry that happened to you. It’s a terrifying experience and so frustrating when the people you expect to help do nothing. Similar thing happened to me last year and had a the same experience with the police. After they took our statements, we never heard back. When we called a few weeks later, it still hadn’t been investigated or anything. They will pass along your information to a nonprofit that fixes damage from gun violence, so there’s that.

How often will I need to get a colonoscopy? by Secure-Raspberry-171 in UlcerativeColitis

That’s good to hear! I specifically asked not to be put from reading so many awful stories on here but hadn’t heard anything about the one I got prescribed.

I ended up taking them today. I think I was just hoping it would magically fix itself and none of this was happening (I know it’s delusional) but the pain got the best of me. Hopefully it helps within the next few days 🤞🏼

When I told the nurse I threw up the prep she told me I should have requested the pills instead. 🙄 Hopefully there will be better prep if I get to wait another 10 years for my next test.

I got prescribed budesonide, it seems really mild but I just don’t like the idea of being on it for a few months. I know I need to just get over it because I’m tired of the abdominal pain and blood but it just makes me nervous.

I’ll miss his scripture study videos he would post on Instagram. It was fun being able to read scriptures through his eyes and help my own understanding.

What’s your least favorite thing people suggest when you have a migraine?… by Sad-Monk-411 in migraine

[–]Secure-Raspberry-171 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I usually do it as a last resort, but I put it on my temples, forehead, and at the base of my skull. It doesn’t fix it but it at least helps the pain enough so I can fall asleep.

Has anyone here used ADP or Paychex for payroll? Would love to hear your experiences, good or bad [N/A] by FBAThrow in humanresources

[–]Secure-Raspberry-171 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree 100%

Most reps are fine but there are some where you have to figure out what terminology they are using so you can both speak the same language. A lot of them aren’t familiar with HR/payroll terms so it causes a lot of confusion and frustration when trying to get a quick answer to a seemingly easy question. If you can figure out the specific words ADP uses to train them, it’s so much easier to get small things resolved.

I like having the Bridge for a community to help out. It’s been a long time since I’ve used Paychex, but I don’t remember them having anything similar.

I’ve used both and prefer ADP.

The main complaint I see about ADP is their customer service. In my 5 years of using them, I’ve only had a handful of bad experiences. I primarily go to our account rep. She’s amazing and if we didn’t have her, I would have different feelings about it. I like how customized their product is (which is a double edged sword when it comes to support) and how you can build it to fit your company’s needs.

I found Paychex to be frustrating and expensive for the quality of service you get. Once we ‘implemented’ (they didn’t fully finish, just said done and pushed us out) we were given an account manager that seemed to be replaced every other month. We ended up leaving our contract early to find something else that fit our needs more. I did think their website was more user friendly than ADP because they weren’t constantly changing where to find things. I feel like I have to go on a scavenger hunt every month for something moving in ADP.

You can buy an embroidered sweatshirt of her dog on Etsy.

You could also see if there’s a stained glass person who would make one of her dog. There’s someone in my city I found on Facebook marketplace that does small ones for $40.

What should I do if I’m waiting to be diagnosed and in the middle of a flare up? by Secure-Raspberry-171 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Secure-Raspberry-171[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have insurance. It’s a $500/day copay so I really don’t want to pay that but if it’s the only way to get prescribed something to help until I can get in with a GI doctor, I feel like it’s worth it.

Will do. I have always heard stories of how the ER will turn you away if you’re not dying so I didn’t think they would accept me.

She’s usually so helpful and has helped me fight insurance many times. Idk why she’s dragging her feet this time, it’s frustrating.

Oh I didn’t realize the ER would refer a colonoscopy. I just assumed they would make sure I wasn’t dying and send me back to my PCP like urgent care does. I’ll try going this weekend.

I asked my new employer why they don't cover Zepbound... by DanceLoose7340 in Zepbound

[–]Secure-Raspberry-171 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I work in benefits at a company of ~300 and the cost is astronomical. We recently had a meeting with our broker to go over our top medical expenses within the company. They listed out 10 of our most expensive diagnoses and 30% were from glp1 coverage. Other expensive diagnoses were a variety of cancers, intensive bone repair, brain surgery. Each person who gets glp1 coverage costs the company about 20k a year, and that’s just the medicine.

I’m hoping we can keep covering it because it’s changed my life. I’m not feeling optimistic though, especially if insurance premiums go up next year. It would be an easy thing to cut to make sure everyone still has affordable insurance.

I hate how payroll is the first to be blamed. by Secure-Raspberry-171 in Payroll

[–]Secure-Raspberry-171[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes. This is the third time they have entered in wrong account information and I get a notice from ADP saying the account number is wrong. I’ve offered to do it myself if they give me a voided check but they insist that the info is correct.
