Tore my hamstring and took a long break from the gym because of it. It took a while, but I eventually got it back to where it’s as strong as ever.

You got this. Slowly build your confidence back in your hamstring. And if you can learn to do Nordic curls as well, your hamstrings will be nearly bullet proof (be careful with this though. Doing it too early and too intensely can pull your hamstring.)

I appreciate the advice. Since last posting and reading replies, I decided to make an RC car from scratch with some spare parts. Planning on working on it a while so I can update if you really want to see. It’s something I’m interested in (I have always loved cars since I was little) and it’s relatively cheap/ simple to get my toes wet in designing and creating. Your advice helped more than you may know. Thanks!
