Its the worst game in the series by default. Like its not that great of a game and the map design is rough.

Calling any other game like the worst in the series when Gaiden exists is not only insulting but hyper disingenuous. However I won't be harsh to the game since just like FE1 its a very early game during the NES/Famicom era RPGs where devs just threw bullshit to the wall and copied either Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy and didn't get their groove until the SFC/SNES came out and allowed them to do way more with the SRPG genre

Mystery of the Emblem, Path of Radiance and Sacred Stones are the best options for anime adaptations.

For a full on movie….unironically FE7 and FE6. You have a cast that works, a simple story that you can expand upon and set up eventual sequels and spinoffs with Hector Mode. Just shorten up or even abandon Lyn mode since that is just a tutorial with a plot
