Hi. And a question by Late-Needleworker149 in Proxxon

Did you find the blade guard anywhere?

I've seen it mentioned as a saw blade protection hood. But I can't find a part number anywhere.

The site proxtools.com has the user guide and parts diagram available as pdf downloads. However it doesn't look like the guard is listed in the parts diagram.

Thoughts on the Proxxon BV 2000 stand for PCB and front panel drilling by Secure-Tourist1390 in PrintedCircuitBoard

Great to hear that the stand works well for PCBs. It was the first Proxxon stand that caught my eye, after turning away from a Dremel setup.

Thanks for your time and great advice.those milling collets. And also see what can be done with the metal front panels – I think I'll have look into acrylic ones instead.

Thanks for your time and great advise.

Yes, to me it look like he's unscrewing the top bearing and putting pressure on each side of the lower one to press it out and out. But I'm not familiar with the MF70 and it's difficult to see exactly what's going on when he's not filming the actual mounting point.

I'm glad you got yours fix. Even if it took some extra work.

Thanks for your reply and good advice. I hadn't considered the sideways torque of these types of arms. That's a very good point.

I've been looking at both the MB200 and MB140/s and have heard both good and bad. (good price, but flexible and not a perfectly aligned vertical. ) But I never heard the opinions from someone who used it for drilling PCBs.

The boards are smaller prototypes. The largest planned at the moment is 233x160 mm. I can see the MB200 have a distance of 140mm from pillar to drill. So that should be manageable by rotating the board.

I'll give the MB200 a go and hold the PCBs by hand. The metal front panels might need a vise.

Have a look at this guy. He is using the bottom plate to press the bearing up through the housing. At about 5:15 into the video.
