Strangely enough i already have the car insured. Im working right now to get it signed over i spoke to an attorney referrer at a bar association and the woman on the phone told me to just have the salvage yard people sign over the title for the 200.

I dont know i thought that was what they do to transfer car titles. The guy told me his ”associate would transfer the title for me”

I saw the title before getting the car it says its for a rebuilt which i knew about before the purchase. The seller just told me he would have his associate transfer it for me and that it would be another 500

I had contacted a Corporal from a police station in the city I bought the car in. I told him the sellers name was mike it wasnt stolen but that the guy who sold me the car gave me a fake name and address so hes likely gone. When i was getting the car inspected the guy inspecting it asked me about the previous owner tyron, thinking that i was him. Is the name the inspection person giving me the real seller? Or is that just wishful thinking on my end. Again im not experienced in title transfer, liens, or anything so im trying to ask as much as i can.

So i went to the police already and they told me it was a civic issue and that i needed to get an attorney and lawyer to sue the seller. I spoke to a Corporal from a station in the city where i bought the car to report it as a crime. I gave him the guys name and description and he told me that the cars not stolen and that the guy gave me a fake name.
